Hello, CEO! Don’t Play With Me!

[60]

As expected, Harvey delivered Monochrome with aplomb. There were no obstacles, even Giselle felt that this was a spectacular performance. There were many surprises, especially in Harvey’s appearance in the center of the stage. Just like when he appeared in Justin’s trending master piece dress that year, Harvey did the same.

Almost all the invited guests gave a rousing welcome. As they gathered in the center of the stage after all the designs had been shown, Giselle was all smiles. Accompanying Harvey who was the star of the evening.

Is Giselle jealous?

Absolutely not.

“I didn’t expect it to be this big,” Harvey said as he entered the backstage area. In his hand was a large bouquet of flowers to thank him for participating in Justin’s event. Just like Justin, who was holding an equally large bouquet.

“Didn’t you see when Giselle showed up last year?” asked Justin as he handed the bouquet to the SEO staff. Some of the junior models who participated were very proud and happy. There was a twinkle on their faces that made Justin feel happy.

“I’m just kidding, boss.” Harvey chuckled. “Why are you so sensitive? You should be happy, the event didn’t have any problems.” Harvey moved closer to Justin. A little push on the shoulder of the now scowling man but then, a tight embrace on Harvey still fussing with his hairdo. “Justin! Oh, my God! Stop it!”

Justin doesn’t care. He laughed uproariously followed by many models who chuckled at the behavior of the two of them. Just like Giselle, who clapped excitedly and voiced her happiness because of the success of this event.

“You guys should treat me to a nice dinner because this event is really great!”

Giselle’s shriek was immediately greeted by a very compact uproar from everyone there. They didn’t care if their voices could be heard by the invited guests. Where they were certainly being asked to come to the area for the dinner hosted by SEO. As a form of gratitude for their time, Justin often uses it to forge new business ties. Usually it revolves around stacked orders and some modeling and promotional partnerships. Or endorsements with fantastic prices considering that the influencers the SEO has are not random names.

“You guys,” Justin laughed, quickly letting go of the embrace with Harvey and ignoring the sardonic eyes the girl was giving him. He chose to approach Giselle, who was helping to make the event more lively and smooth. Justin spread his arms as wide as he could. “For you, Giselle.”

Giselle chuckled. “Do I have to?” She gave a little teasing wink. But still, being in Justin’s arms was the best she had ever felt. Although he couldn’t touch her heart, at least something like this was enough for Giselle to experience. “Congratulations on Monochrome, Justin. You’re great.”

“Don’t you want to join, Harvey?”

Even with an annoyed whimper, Harvey still joined in the embrace that still had a gap there. “Thank you for indulging my selfishness, Harvey.”

The girl laughed. “At least your fee is tempting.”

“Oh my, you guys!” Giselle laughed. “All of you,” she said to the other SEO models. “Come on, hug your annoying boss.”

No one refused to do what Giselle told them to do. After all, when else would one get such a rare opportunity. In the midst of two models who were labeled as expensive senior models in SEO. Also receiving hospitality from the elusive Justin.

“You’re like a ball ready to roll,” Irena said, shaking her head in surprise. She already had a tablet in her hand that contained many reports mainly related to Monochrome.

“You’re a bully who doesn’t like our closeness,” Justin said, spluttering in disapproval. he began to unravel the hug. Asking the other models to quickly change and prepare to enjoy the meal. Almost all of them retreated, leaving only Harvey and Giselle still near Justin.

“If your interference makes my joyous heart any less joyful, I’ll deduct your annual bonus, Irena,” Justin said as he straightened his shirt. The maroon shirt, which he had unbuttoned to the chest, had been sleeved to the elbows. It was a little messy but it didn’t detract from Justin’s good looks. Instead, he looked like a man who attracted a lot of attention from the many women around him.

“If the news I gave you makes your excitement rise a thousand percent, I’m making my own calculations regarding the year-end bonus.”

Justin laughed.

Meanwhile, Harvey invited Giselle to head to the banquet hall first. After asking Justin for permission, where they were both allowed but not to get too lost in the guests’ chatter. Because after Justin’s business with Irena is done, there will be an exclusive interview with the reporters especially about the launch of Monochrome. And that required Harvey to make a public appearance alongside Justin.

“Take it easy, Boss,” Harvey said with a big laugh. “Come on, Giselle. Let’s go hunting for food. You didn’t have time to eat, did you?”

“You’re right.” Giselle suddenly remembered the last time her stomach was filled with food. “I feel like eating pasta. You?”

“I think the pasta is enough to silence my stomach that’s been rumbling since earlier.”

“We no longer feel hungry until the event is over. I was the same way the first time. I didn’t even have an appetite even though Brina forced me to.”

Harvey spluttered. “You can worry about the event, but don’t ignore the fact that your body needs energy from food.”

“Lecture yourself, Harvey.” Giselle wrapped her arms around Harvey, not caring if his best friend growled. And glared in disgust at Giselle’s annoying attitude.

“I wonder if Maya came to see how you were doing in SEO?” asked Giselle with a giggle. “As long as I find out with Brina, that annoying woman doesn’t exist. just in case when you’re on stage, Maya comes.”

Harvey chuckled. He felt like pinching the waist of his best friend who kept teasing him. “Instead of Maya coming, wouldn’t it be more fun if Kristen came with Woddy?”

“Where?” asked Giselle with eyes sparkling in amazement. If what Harvey said just now is true, I don’t know what would happen if the two of them were caught on camera. But…

“Twelve o’clock. They are sitting with the other finalists.”

“Ah, not so exciting.”

“What did you expect anyway?” Harvey chuckled. “Wasn’t it Justin who requested an exclusive screening with The Collage?”

Giselle nodded in response.

“While we know how Woddy’s relationship with The Collage is.”

“You’re right,” Giselle sighed softly. “If the news about them had been revealed, there would have been an uproar like that official.”

Harvey laughed. “You follow the news?”

“Andrew told me. So we sometimes talk about the official and his mistress.”

“Wait…” Harvey stopped his steps. “You’re really close to Andrew?”

“No.”

“But sharing gossip?”

“It’s not like that, Harvey,” Giselle said with a long sigh. At the same time, Giselle’s eyes were fixed on one figure.

“Isn’t that… Andrew?” Harvey blinked in disbelief. “Ah, with his sweet fiancée apparently.”

“Fiancée?” Giselle’s brow furrowed deeply. “Isn’t the girl next to Andrew Fania?”

“Dorothy Fania Langham to be precise. Granddaughter of former Centralia’s fifth president, Edgar Langham.”
