Giselle smiled at the news that appeared on her phone’s home page. I don’t know how many times she had actually seen the same news but still, there was a sense of joy because of the content in it. Let it go if someone curses her like a criminal because she feels happy seeing other people’s hardships.
The owner of a famous club was arrested for being the mastermind of drug trafficking and prostitution activities under the guise of art.
It is rumored that Jilly Adams was brought in after it was discovered that her club was a hotbed of drug trafficking.
Threatened with closure, Jilly Adams’ club is under police surveillance.
This is the figure of Jilly Adam, the club owner who was raided by the police last night. Evidence is widely spread on social media.
And there were still many headlines that dragged Jilly along with the photos that made the main headlines. Most disturbingly, Jilly’s arrest took place right in the parking lot of the Ambassador’s residence. Some parties immediately clarified that Jilly was an uninvited guest.
Who wants to deal with such bad gossip?
Although the news had been around for a few days, it didn’t die down quickly. Because the media continued to make the arrest and raid, complete with a video of the club’s closure that was widely discussed on various social media. It is absolutely certain that Jilly is dealing with the wrong people and when she finishes her business with the police, she will not be able to fully return to normal.
“It’ll be a long time before you see me, Jilly,” Giselle said as she put away her phone. Today was a day off that she would use for herself. In two days’ time, she would have to spend a month in Milan. Her name had been nominated for the twenty participants of the Miss World event. She was actually quite surprised because her portfolio was not yet qualified for her to participate in such a great event.
But Nico and Brina said, “There’s no need to target victory. We all know that this year, winning is too far out of reach. But do the best you can, Giselle. We’re all rooting for you.”
And when she expressed her desire to enter the contest, and the results she got despite the invitation in the form of Giselle’s nomination, Justin was the same. Fully supportive. He even asked Irena to shift a lot of Giselle’s schedule. Adjusting to the quarantine schedule that Giselle would be doing in Milan. Although it was only two weeks, the time was valuable enough for Giselle to complete the many projects that had entered SEO.
Giselle lets herself be blown away by the wind from above. The apartment has a spacious balcony that she can use to relax. Maybe after she gets paid for her current project, she can redecorate the balcony.
The sound of the vehicles down there was his companion this afternoon. It didn’t matter, she took it as a solace for her loneliness while living here. “Mom, if you were still by my side, you would have been surprised and a bit scared living at this height.” She laughed but not a single voice accompanied her. Giselle admitted that she was lonely.
He wants to be friends with his colleagues, especially in SEO. But unfortunately, he is often disappointed. In their attitudes and actions that more often than not take advantage of the good he has. Because of that, he chose to stay away. It was nothing compared to always being talked about how his popularity rose so rapidly because of what he gave to Justin.
Oh my God, people would gossip if she used dirty means; sleeping with Justin, living with him, taking care of him in any way.
“Why do you even think weird like that, anyway?” He shook his head, not wanting to think much about the negative remarks that had come his way since joining. He didn’t know who was to blame here; his luck or his tireless training. He only had one determination; to make Justin proud.
Because Justin was her guardian angel. Don’t let him be disappointed by what Giselle does. Then she should have accomplished a lot with proud results.
“Brina won’t be here.” Giselle smiled faintly. “I’d rather pay you a visit, Mom. Who knows, my longing might be relieved.”
Once she was sufficiently prepared, Giselle quickly reached for the car keys hanging neatly on the small cabinet near the door. Just then, the unit’s bell rang. It was a sign that someone was visiting, but who?
“Yes?”
An apartment attendant was at the door. He had a large paper bag in one hand and a small piece in the other. “I apologize for disturbing you, Miss. There is a delivery from someone that requires you to see it immediately.”
Giselle’s brow furrowed deeply. “From whom? I can’t accept random packages.”
“Ah, you’re right. You can call the number on the card. It’s in this big paper bag.”
Giselle nodded in understanding. She accepted the item when she was ready to go down to the basement. It wasn’t too late in the afternoon that she visited her mother’s grave. Not without reason, her mother’s funeral was held at the edge of the village where they once lived. There, just as her mother had wished before losing her battle with illness; she wanted to spend her old age in a quiet place with less of the city’s noise.
And the only place that fits, is the village where Giselle grew up. Through the love of her parents, though fleeting, as her father left them forever. Perhaps because of her sadness, her mother’s health suffered. And so ended the heartbreaking story that Giselle had to endure. But she has no regrets. In fact, according to her, “There will be regrets if I don’t do anything for Mommy. If I had to go through hell for her recovery, I would have done it without any tears of pain.”
Back to Giselle who was looking at her package carefully. There shouldn’t be anything suspicious inside. She immediately reached in and pulled out a large paper bag that contained a card.
Mind if we meet?

Giselle’s eyeballs rolled in annoyance. She immediately put down the paper bag rather roughly without looking at the contents. There was a box with a red velvet band. It was a brand well known for the quality of its bags; Case Fashion. Giselle had modeled for their new product which soon became a best seller a few months later.
But she was quite curious about the small paper bag placed on the edge of the table. She didn’t want to take it, but her curiosity got the better of her. Who knows, it might contain food because Giselle could see that there was a bakery logo printed on it. If it was true, it would be a shame if she didn’t take it out of the place. I don’t know who would eat it, because remembering the sender made Giselle upset.
Brina would have liked it anyway, but she had to check what was in it first.
When she opened it and took it out of the box, two jars of her favorite cookies were there. There was a melted chocolate setup with lots of chocochips on top. Oh my God. How tempting. “It would be a shame if I didn’t enjoy it, right?” At that moment, a card also came out of the paper bag.
It makes him immediately pick it up as it falls and open what’s inside. If it’s just nonsense, he can throw it away immediately.
I’m waiting in the lobby. I have something to say, Nami.
Can you?

“Gosh, how stubborn is this guy?”

Giselle is a chocolate lover. She wouldn’t waste a chocolate setup even if it was given to her by a man who seemed happy to be her driver today. No matter if her behavior got the attention of the man, Giselle still enjoyed the chocolate. She kept the two jars of cookies as supplies during the quarantine. Not bad. She could smuggle sweets without excessive supervision from Brina.
“Have you… heard the news these past few days?” the man asked, opening his voice. It was also a silence breaker because there was no way they could be silent without any conversation. Their journey wasn’t too far but still, wasn’t this a rare opportunity?
Giselle didn’t reject him. Instead, she asked him to do something she felt was important? I don’t know. The destination was an area on the edge of the city. No matter, it was a day off for the man too. He could spend time with Giselle wherever she wanted.
“Already,” Giselle replied briefly. Her mouth doesn’t stop chewing and occasionally expresses her love for this sweet treat.
“You really are a chocolate fan, aren’t you, Nami?” asked Andrew with a big smile. “That’s great if you like what I send. Do you mind if I send them every day?”
“You want to kill me?”
Andrew was wide-eyed. “How could I have such thoughts?”
Giselle chuckled. “I’m actually hostile to chocolate. But hate and love are so thin, right?” She sighed and leaned back comfortably in Andrew’s car. “Why did Justin entrust me to you, anyway? I wanted to drive myself.” Giselle chuckled in annoyance. She remembered the conversation on the phone that had annoyed her to no end.
If Justin had been in front of him, he would have protested many times.
“I had no intention of anything other than accompanying you today, Na-”
“Don’t call me by that name!” Giselle glared in disapproval. “The next time I hear you say that name, you better watch your head!”
Andrew laughed. Raising his hand as a gesture of surrender and would do whatever Giselle wanted. But the tail of his eye saw the box that Giselle had been enjoying, just sitting on the dashboard of the car. No longer being enjoyed. “You don’t like those chocolates?”
“It’s not that I don’t like it,” Giselle said with a long sigh. “I think I’ve had enough chocolate. And thank you for sending it.”
“I’m glad you’re no longer being wary of me. Honestly, I feel guilty.” Andrew glanced at the calm-looking girl beside him.
“I’m being nice because Justin asked me to,” Giselle said sarcastically. “Never mind, I accepted your kindness out of sincerity. Everything I do is Justin’s order. For me, it’s imperative to obey him.”
Andrew’s smile, which had been there, was gone. It was replaced with a questioning frown that bothered him. “Why is it like that?”
“I have no obligation to tell you why. Just focus on the pace of your car, sir.”
Even so, Andrew nodded obediently. At least he was allowed to see Giselle today. And he would not waste the opportunity to get an apology from this beautiful girl sitting beside him. Ah… Andrew was really going crazy thinking about all the things about Giselle.
Aside from Giselle’s appearance being much cuter than what he remembered and the last time he met her, the man was completely unhinged after his conversation with Justin.
“She is the first person who will be with me at the top. Dare you disturb her, I will do everything in my power to make you realize where you really come from.”
Justin’s words came back to him before he got permission to be close to Giselle. Don’t ask how difficult it was because even from the rearview mirror, he could see the black car that referred to the person who was watching his movements while with Giselle, giving no distance.
“I’ll prove if I’m serious,” Andrew muttered under his breath. He focused on the steering wheel again, lest he endanger them both.
“What did you say?” asked Giselle curiously because Andrew’s behavior today was very strange. It was completely unexpected.
“Nothing,” Andrew said immediately. “We’re… heading for West Road, right?” Better to divert Giselle to the road they had to travel.
“Um… yes.” Giselle snuggled back down while occasionally glancing at Andrew. Starting to question, what was really going on?
