Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire

Chapter 479: Hatred Lasted Longer Than Love

Dinah sat on the sofa and caught its armrest, feeling a little nervous.

Once the door of the study opened, she stood up.

“Stephen…” Dinah knew Stephen might be tortured by the drug, but she didn’t expect that he would have such a big change. “You…”

Stephen walked up to her with a sneer on his lips. “This is all thanks to you.”

Dinah took a long breath and moved backward. The back of her knee hit the sofa, and she sank down.

She raised her head, looking at Stephen with her lips trembling. “I-I’m so-sorry.”

Stephen grabbed her wrist and pulled her up from the sofa. “Let’s go!”

“Where are we going?” Dinah was forced to follow him behind, walking outside.

“The Marriage License Bureau,” Stephen said with an expressionless face.

“No, I’m not going to be divorced!” Dinah threw Stephen’s hands-off, then hid to the back of the sofa. “No, please don’t divorce me.”

Stephen coldly stared at Dinah. “Then what do you want?”

“I-I’m going to give birth to your baby!” Dinah raised her voice all of a sudden. “I’ve already made a deal with your mother, and I must give birth to a baby from you.”

“It’s not going to happen.” Stephen shook his head.

Seeing Stephen coming to catch her, Dinah moved to the other side of the sofa. “It will! My period didn’t come this month. I-I probably is pregnant now!”

Hearing that, Stephen was in rage within a second.

It seemed to be a terrible humiliation in his eyes that Dinah was carrying his baby.

However, he calmed himself down the next second. Even his voice became much gentle. “Dinah, come here. I’m a doctor, and let me do a check of your body.”

“No!” Dinah shook her head with great force. “I must tell Agnes this news. She’ll protect this baby.”

After that, Dinah ran out of this house when Stephen wasn’t prepared.

Agnes, who was under the control of Stephen’s new medicine, got an order that she must keep Dinah staying with her until Stephen came to solve the problem in person.

Nevertheless, Dinah didn’t show up at all.

Kylie went back to the Finch family’s house herself and enjoyed the sunshine in the garden with Pupu in her arms. When the sun went down, Elliot called her and told her Ethan wouldn’t come home tonight because he was busy dealing with his work.

Kylie understood Ethan was avoiding her.

In a hidden rental house, Dinah told Ethan and Vincent the drug detoxification of Matthew.

“If we fail to develop serum, it’s impossible to help him get rid of it.” This was her final conclusion.

“How did Stephen manage to do that?” Ethan asked in a deep voice.

Dinah lowered her head and remained silent for a long while before she opened her mouth again. “He’s a doctor. He knew how to formulate different kinds of medicine as he did for us. We retain our human form because of him, remember that. Ah, I forgot, you’re different among us because you possessed the highest power in our packs. Lord Ethan find ways to solve this problem, I think you need to talk to Stephen,”

Vincent, who is currently listening to their conversation, was confused. “When did Stephen take a magical pill? Did he test the drug with his own body?”

Dinah glared at him, then turned to look at Ethan. ” Lord Ethan, I just got a piece of information. The dock at Seattle will ship goods out tomorrow at 10 pm.”

Ethan nodded. “Have you reported it to our leaders this time?”

“Yeah, and they’re very happy that you’ll join us this time,” Dinah said with a smile. “Oh, how’s Kylie now? Does she feel better?”

Ethan, instead, evaded her question. “Keep this action a secret from her.”

“Sure,” Dinah replied.

She shrugged to Vincent with her face full of envy.

Both Kylie and her were women, but Kylie’s husband did everything to protect her, while her husband couldn’t wait to divorce her.

“Did you leave to see Stephen?” Ethan asked all of a sudden.

“No, I didn’t.” Dinah denied it at once.

Ethan observed Dinah’s face but didn’t say another word. He knew she lied.

On a quiet late night.

The door of Kylie’s bedroom was lightly pushed open.

Moonlight cast Ethan’s long slim shadow on the floor. He did his best to make no sound walking to the bed, then knelt down before it.

The girl’s face looked a little pale in the moonlight, and her thick eyelashes trembled in anxiety. When his fingers were about to touch her face, he heard a whimper. “Ethan…”

Ethan stiffened a little. After making sure that she was just talking in her sleep, he gently moved her hair on her cheek to the back of her ear.

His eyes were full of love looking at his beloved woman, wife, and the mother of his babies. The blessing for them will carry his blood.

The action would begin tomorrow, and he must protect Kylie from any danger. He still had a secret that he hadn’t told her.

Although Kylie had told him that she and their babies were supportive, they were also obstacles in his way.

If his enemies found out he cared much about this woman, Kylie would be in a very dangerous situation. Besides, what he was going to do tomorrow was super risky. It was the most significant battle between his packs and those humans who did illegal business. His clans tried to live like a normal human in this human world. They carried tasks to help eliminate traffickers.

If he couldn’t come back to her side, he would rather want Kylie to hate him than miss him during her rest life.

Hatred lasted longer than love.

Kylie dreamed Ethan was hugging her and rubbed his jaw with stubble on her face, which was a little painful and itchy.

“Stop it.” She smiled and moved away, but Ethan approached near.

All of a sudden, she felt the coldness on her lips.

Ethan kissed her.

Kylie was so familiar with his taste, and she missed it so much that she couldn’t help but kiss him back. Ethan used his invisible power as he noticed Kylie was about to awake.

She got sexually excited and tried to hug Ethan’s neck with her arms, but she only caught air.

Kylie opened her eyes, seeing moonlight all over her empty bed. Loneliness ate her up in an instant.

She thought Ethan was back, but it turned out to be just a dream. Ethan quickly vanished in a split second to avoid seeing his wife’s loneliness. She was too sad to notice the door was opened a small gap.

Outside their bedroom, Ethan stood upright, staring at the girl who covered her head in her knees, crying on the bed. Although he could hear her whimpering his name, he couldn’t show up, and his heart ached.

He squinted, then strode away.

The next day, Kylie had a headache, so she asked for another day off.

Fannie came to take care of her, and read the news on her phone. “Look, after Vivian gave her role to Elizabeth, her new film is forbidden to be shown in theaters.”

“Why?” Kylie glanced at Fannie’s phone. Her eyes were still swollen.

“I heard it contains too many sexual acts and images,” Fannie sighed. “She ruins her career herself.”

“Are you sympathetic to Vivian?” Kylie asked, with her eyes closed.

“Nope, I have sympathy for Faith,” Fannie said. “Vivian already ended their contract, and Faith is jobless now.”

“Tell Lucas to send her some money, but don’t tell her it’s my idea,” Kylie said.

“Why do you still want to help her? She probably hates you most right now,” Fannie said.

“I don’t care,” Kylie replied.

Fannie went to give Lucas a call, as Kylie said, then went back. “Ethan is in the house right now. Why didn’t he come to see you?”
