So painful, so grieved…

I fell in Ling’s arms with tears in my eyes. All of a sudden, the angry voice of Su Chengzhao came from outside, “Qin Mochen, you are an asshole!”

Then I was cuddled in a pair of strong arms. Su Chengzhao warmed my cold body with his love.

His frantic, pitying voice echoed in my mind, “Yufei, you hold on. Everything will be ok. I will be right here with you…”

I smile sadly. At the moment when my consciousness was about to disappear, I whispered, “Chengzhao, I am so tired. The feeling of despair… is nothing… More than that…”

“Yufe!”, Su Chengzhao’s last roar rang in my ears, and then I fell into a coma.

I had a dream that didn’t seem like a dream.

My father called my name and my mom cooked my favorite food. They stood together and waved at me as if to call me over.

I smiled and smiled happily.

“Dad, mom, I miss you so much; I miss you so much…” My tears could not stop flowing and I ran to them without hesitation.

The pain racked my body as I tried to open my eyes. I saw Su Chengzhao in front of me. He looked haggard and his eyes were bloodshot. I was stunned when I saw him.

Seeing me wake up, he was relieved. He held me tightly in his arms, and his voice was choked with grief , “I was so scared, Yufei. I was afraid you will never wake up.”

I felt a warm sensation on my neck; it was his tears. Su Chengzhao was crying.

It was the first time in five years that I had seen this gentle man cry, especially for me.

He slowly released me, gently caressed my cheek, and said solemnly and resolutely, “Yufei, I want to help you, help you get your revenge, help you cope with Qin Mochen. I will do all the things that are beneficial to you. I don’t want you to suffer any more than you deserve.”

I clenched my teeth and shook my head. I didn’t want him to be involved in the hatred that had nothing to do with him because he was innocent.

Su Chengzhao smiled and lowered his head to kiss my forehead. He said solemnly, “Do you know how scared I was when I walked into the villa and saw you lying in a pool of blood? I was afraid something bad would happen to you. I was afraid you would never wake up, but luckily you are alive now.”

His gentle words and worried expression brought a little warmth to my desperate heart.

I laughed sarcastically inside though. Qin Mochen always wanted me to die, but I was still alive.

Did those words come true? A bad thing never dies.

It occurred to me that when I had fainted, my lower body was bleeding. Was it due to my illness getting worse?

I held Su’s hand and asked, “Is my illness getting worse?”

Su Chengzhao shivered for a second. Although it was only for a moment, I was still aware of that.

He looked at me piteously and smiled softly, “I will let the doctor cure your disease. You will you will be alright.”

Looking at his smile, I made a decision in my heart.

I didn’t want to stay here anymore. I didn’t want to see anything about Qin Mochen. I wanted to leave.

I looked up at Su and whispered, “I don’t want revenge. Can you take me away from here? I want to spend the rest of my life learning to… love you.”
