Chapter 69: Why Is He Haunting Me
Chapter 69: Why Is He Haunting Me
Cathy was getting to go back to the hospital when she got out from the shopping mall. After a few steps, she found out that the man was still following her. She frowned and she was upset by the situation that made her discomposed. Her voice turned to a little bad," Why are you still following me?"
"I would like to send you back." Tyrone looked at her and he did not feel anything inappropriate.
"I can recognize the way myself. I don't need you to send me back. You just leave me alone."
The man frowned slowly. He could not understand why she changed her attitude suddenly but he didn't ask. He just nodded tamely and said," Okay, I will leave when you get in to the hospital."
Cathy's fidgety mood was at its peak at a moment. She could not stand and yelled," Tyrone Raman, can you stop following me? The kids do not only belong to you. I will be careful and pay attention. I don't need you to watch me all the time like this."
Tyrone was a little angry and said," Was that how you be careful just now? Do you know what was going to happen if I was not there?"
Cathy was choked up.
She did not pay attention just now for sure but there would not be too many accidents like that.
Otherwise, it was all because of him...then how could she did not notice it.
She lowered her head frustratingly and her beautiful face did not look well. Then she put a cold-hearted face on," I'm not in a good mood every time I meet you. Go away from my sight if you still want me to eat a good dinner. tonight."
The handsome face of the man was darkened.
The woman learned how to make trouble out of nothing.
He gnashed," Do you hate me like that?"
Cathy tilted her head and smiled brilliantly," What do you say? Therefore, for the good of the kids, please do not affect my appetite in a bad way anymore."
At last, Tyrone did not win the debate and went away from her with a cold unhappy face.
The smile of Cathy disappeared slowly when she saw the man disappeared in the crowd. She looked down to her belly. There was a somber mood that could not be hidden in her eyes. The kids, the kids... He was doing good only for his kids.
She turned to leave after standing still for a minute. She did not notice that there was a shadow following her not far away.
Cathy got back to the inpatient ward and her mother looked at her in a strange way then asked," Where did you go? Why you get back so late?"
"Just hung around here." She smiled not so happily. Her mind was still sticking on Tyrone.
Her mother gazed at her for a while and suddenly frowned," Are you okay? Do you feel anything wrong?"
Cathy was her own daughter. She could find out anything wrong with just a little expression.
Cathy was paused for a short time and she seemed to return to her senses just now. Then she smiled lightly and shook her head," I'm fine at all. Are you hungry? I will go to buy something to eat for you."
"I don't need to eat. Have a rest since you were just returned. I will ask a nurse to bring some food from the kitchen later."
Cathy sat in a chair and pouted her mouth,"OK."
She thought her mother was a kind of being a god. Her mother could find out anything. Cathy should be careful in the future.
Cathy felt tired since she had walked for a long time outside. She fell a sleep in the chair very soon. Her mother did not bother her. She just asked a nurse for a coat as a cover on Cathy.
It was a luxury private hospital. The inpatient ward was a single room. The decoration was luxurious and the room was quiet. Cathy slept comfortably quiet a while. The lights were already lighted when she woke up.
She rubbed her sleepy eyes and yawned. Then she sat up and asked, "What time is it, mom?"
Her voice was a little hoarse since she was just woke up.
"Seven o'clock." It was a low charming male voice rather than her mother's voice.
Cathy was surprised. She turned her head immediately.
She could see his face clearly through the light, which was a little dazzling, from the ceiling after a few seconds. Her face changed," Tyrone, why it is you again?"
Why he was still haunting me?
It was him before she was slept. It was him in her dream and it was him now when she was awakened.
The man was standing there. He was taller than 180cm and he nearly blocked all the light beyond her. His face was also in shadow. Only the warm voice was heard," I have told you that I'm going to take a flight to New York tonight. I'm here to visit your mother by the way. I'm going to leave soon."
"Have you visit her? Leave now if you have visited her."
Cathy said angrily and she pushed away the cover to get up from the bed. Suddenly she was frozen. She remembered that she fell a sleep in a chair. How could she sleep on a bed?
She found out it was the her mother's room when she had a look around and she was laying on the bed with the man standing beside it.
Tyrone bent to fetch Cathy's shoes to her and said lightly," It was uncomfortable to sleep in a chair so I moved you here."
"Then... where is my mother?" Cathy could not believe that her mother stayed in silence when he moved her to here.
Was she really her mother?
"Your mother stayed in the next room." Tyrone did not know that Cathy was confused. He crouched and helped her to wear her shoes as she was still stunning.
The warm feeling awoke Cathy. She looked down to the wide shoulders and back of the man. She felt blushed on her ears and pushed the man away. She said not fluently," I, I can do it myself."
She wore up the shoes quickly and she was afraid to look at his eyes. Then she rushed out and went back to the original room.
She could not believe that her mother just let it go. Did she forget that they were already divorced?
In the next room, Cathy's mother was having her meal. She was frightened by the door that was burst and she coughed fiercely.
"Mom." Cathy was worried. She stepped up and brought her mother a cup of water. The she patted her mother's back to let her calm down.
Cathy's mother calmed down after she drank the water. She smiled to Cathy and said," You are awaken. It is late now. Go home. You have to go to work tomorrow. You don't have to stay here tonight." Cathy got close to her mother. She pretended helping her mother to tidy her clothes and she gnashed," Mother, please do not change the topic."
Cathy's mother saw Tyrone followed in and she nodded with smile to him then replied Cathy in a low voice," He was here to look after you and he bought food for you because he worried if you are hungry. I was too embarrassed to say no to him. He just moved you to there when he saw you were sleeping in a chair. Nothing inappropriate was done. What else could I say?"
Cathy was so angry even her eyebrows were joggling.
What if he did something inappropriate in the other room? Could you see it?
Cathy's mother seemed read the mind of Cathy and muttered," He won't be wait after you are divorced if he would like to be inappropriate to you. He may just worrying his kids. Don't be narrow-minded."
Cathy was so speechless and she felt that she was almost spitting the blood out.
She was narrow-minded? Should she be happy to be depended on her kids?
