Don't Try to Escape, My Wife!

Chapter 1817 I Won't Save Him

Chapter 1817 I Won't Save Him

The incident hit Lucas hard. He even had the thought that he was dreaming and it was a nightmare.

He closed his eyes fiercely, hoping that he would still be in the hospital when he opened them again,

that his brother was still his brother and that nothing had changed.

But when Lucas opened his eyes again, he was utterly disappointed.

He couldn't help but smile bitterly.

When had he actually believed this?

It turned out that when a person was in the presence of a truth that he desperately did not want to

admit, no matter what he had been, no matter what he had studied and how mentally strong he was, he

could eventually find his own reason to escape.

But now he couldn't avoid it.

Lucas untied the ropes and rose gently, not alerting anyone.

He surveyed the whole room. Almost nothing was missing, everything was prepared, and it definitely

did not look like a place to imprison people.

Lucas couldn't help but feel a little distressed by Joseph's final kindness.

Wait!

Nothing was missing?

Lucas suddenly saw the laptop on top of the desk.

No one knew Lucas's computer skills better than Joseph. No matter what environment Lucas was in,

there was nothing he couldn't do if he was given a computer.

Why would Joseph put a laptop in here if he was intent on keeping him prisoner?

Was it an ornament?

Lucas walked over to the computer and turned it on, then found that there was no internet. He tapped

his long fingers quickly on the keyboard and it didn't take long for a line to appear on the screen.

"Find a way to get online."

The caption flashed for two seconds and then disappeared.

Lucas froze slightly.

This was left by Joseph?

So this was a message he had given him?

What was going on?

Could it be that Joseph was in some kind of trouble and had to do this?

Lucas suddenly tensed up.

He tapped his keyboard quickly and used some unique method to finally connect to the internet.

At that moment, a picture suddenly flashed up on the laptop.

It was Joseph!

He was driving to an estate.

Lucas frowned slightly.

The manor was unfamiliar, and he seemed to have never seen it before.

Where was this place?

Who was Joseph meeting?

Lucas was puzzled when he saw the video of Joseph getting out of the car at the entrance of the

estate. The bodyguards next to him then stepped forward and began to search Joseph.

Joseph looked disgruntled but did not refuse. He just looked grimly at the bodyguards, and his face

was horribly grim.

The two men didn't find anything on Joseph's body, other than a scalpel, so they let him in quickly.

When Joseph entered, a black car was parked in front of the door.

He did not hesitate to get into it.

It was not the first time Joseph had been here and he knew the route well.

Lucas's frown deepened.

He seemed to understand something but was a little worried.

Joseph was driven inside the estate in a car.

There were many sentries and the security was very tightly made.

Soon, Joseph pushed open the golden door and walked in to see an old man with grey hair sitting on a

sofa. He was very pleased with Joseph's arrival.

"Dr. Green, you're finally here."

"Can I not come? Where is my master?"

Joseph had a very stern look on his face.

Lucas was suddenly startled.

Master?

Morgan?

Morgan had been in seclusion all these years, and she was having health problems. No matter how

good a doctor she had once been, she was just as helpless in the face of disease, and even her most

prized disciple, Joseph, had been unable to conquer the difficult disease, cancer.

Joseph had lived with Morgan all these years. They were like mother and son, more like master and

disciple.

Now that man had taken Morgan to threaten Joseph?

Lucas's eyes suddenly went cold.

Damn it!

What he hated most was when someone hurt his family. These people were doomed!

Lucas clenched his fists tightly when he heard the old man say with a smile on his face, "Dr. Green,

don't worry. Morgan is fine now. I won't treat her badly. I'll let you see her when you're done with this

operation."

"Really? Aren't you still keeping tabs on Lucas?"

Joseph's voice was cold as ice, and even through the screen, Lucas could feel Joseph's anger. But he

had always been a stoic man, and even when he was about to explode with anger, he remained calm,

making it impossible for anyone to see anything.

But Lucas just knew he was angry because blue veins stood out on the back of Joseph's hands.

The old man was not surprised by Joseph's question and still smiling, "Dr. Green, your brother is a

talented man, and I am a man who cherishes talent. Since he has retired, I can definitely give him a lot

of room to develop if he comes to me."

"Does the Green Family's junior master need you to give him room to develop? What are you!"

Joseph retorted him unceremoniously, which instantly made the old man look like crap, and the man

beside him spoke up instantly.

"How dare you! How dare you speak to Mr. Frye like that? Aren't you afraid of dying here?"

"You try!"

Joseph's anger was more than Mr. Frye expected.

He grimaced and said, "I can leave your brother unharmed for the time being, and haven't you already

secured him? Dr. Green, I have to admire you. It's amazing that I can't find him when you're trying to

hide someone. You wouldn't have hidden him in the morgue, would you?"

Hearing that Mr. Frye was setting him up, Joseph sneered, "You really think you're somebody, but

unfortunately, you seem to forget that I am the youngest master of the Green Family. Even if I don't

become a doctor, I still can protect my family. On the other hand, if you really offend me, your grandson

may not see the sun tomorrow."

When he finished speaking, Mr. Frye instantly pulled out his gun and aimed it directly at Joseph.

"Dr. Green, he's just a kid, and you're a doctor. You wouldn't kill a child, would you?"

"That's not true! My family and my master are my bottom line! And not only did you kidnap my master,

but you tried to hurt my brother. Why do you think I need to do a kidney transplant for your grandson?

Not to mention the fact that the kidney you are getting is the one my sister-in-law needs. You've hurt

three of my family members, and you still think I'll operate on your grandson. Are you out of your

mind?"

Joseph rarely said so much to a stranger, and these words made Mr. Frye's brow furrow.

"Dr. Green, it's fine if Yasmeen doesn't get a kidney replacement. At least she has one to use, but my

grandson can't wait. He's so young, and his life hasn't even started yet. Shouldn't you, as a doctor,

save him? Besides, I only invited Morgan over as a guest, and I didn't make things difficult for her. If

you don't want me to hurt your brother, I can leave him unharmed, as long as you save my grandson."

It was as if Mr. Frye had put his stance so low that any man who saw it might have taken pity on him.

But Joseph just looked at him coldly and said, word for word, "I will not save him!"
