Chapter 1769 Did You Want to Have Lunch Or Not

Chapter 1769 Did You Want to Have Lunch Or Not

Mia was exhausted out of crying, and she passed out.

Joseph got in the car and drove to a private villa.

As he reached it, a middle-aged woman came out. When she saw Joseph, she bowed and said

respectfully, "Mr. Green, how are you?"

“Luna, from today on, she stays here, and you have to take good care of her for her pregnancy.”

“Got it.”

Luna didn't ask who she was. She had served Joseph for years. She had never seen him bringing any

girl home. To her surprise, the first girl he took home was a drunk and pregnant woman with heavy

makeup.

‘It might be Joseph’s baby.’ Luna guessed.

Luna immediately became wary.

After Luna took Mia into the house, he suddenly felt a bit upset. He pulled his collar. As he felt

someone behind, he narrowed his eyes, turned around, and saw a girl standing before a red sports car.

She looked familiar, but Joseph couldn’t remember who she was.

“Why do you follow me?”

He was always cautious and alarmed. If anyone was following him, he would observe immediately. But

he didn’t see this woman following him, so he couldn’t help being vigilant.

As Joseph looked vigilant, the woman put on a friendly smile. Her face twisted out of two dimples,

which Joseph seemed to see before.

“Do I know you?”

“Joseph, I am Kylie Gust. I am back.”

Kylie smiled sweetly. The familiar smile made Joseph pause surprisedly, and he immediately search

the name in his mind.

He suddenly remembered who she was.

She was the granddaughter of old Gust.

Old Gust was a great doctor. She went abroad for further study a few years ago. Joseph saw her off

when she departed. It was said that she was not interested in medicine. She went to a medical college

because of Joseph. And she went abroad as an exchange student.

It's been years since he saw her last time. She had changed a lot. He barely could recognize her.

She became more beautiful and charming.

“Kylie, you grow up.”

“Joseph, how have you been? Do you get time tonight? How about we have lunch together? It’s on

me.”

Kylie cocked her head on one side, looking adorable just like before when she was a teen.

Joseph’s gloominess and fidget had gone away.

He walked over and caressed her head naturally. Her hair was as soft and smooth as before. He said

reluctantly, "I would like to, but I got a family party to join and I have to have lunch at home. Give me

your WhatsApp number. I will contact you once I am available.”

“Well, okay.”

Kylie was not disappointed. She took out her phone and showed him her QR code.

Joseph had a few friends on his WhatsApp. Kylie got quite well with him just like Zoe. He felt

comfortable being with her. So, he cared for her more.

“You just come back?”

“Yes.”

“Do you go home yet? Your father must miss you.”

Kylie’s smile got smaller, but she still said smilingly, “I will go home several days later. I have something

to handle here.”

“Just let me know if you need me. I will accompany you home. I haven’t seen old Gust for a long time.”

“Okay.”

Kylie’s smile broadened.

After a few words, Joseph checked the time. It’s not late to go home for lunch. So, he said goodbye to

Kylie and left.

As he went away, Kylie looked at the villa Joseph sent Mia in coldly.

When Joseph got home, Samuel and Nicole had already prepared a table of delicious dishes, and all

the siblings had already gathered around the table.

Zoe saw Joseph and spoke to him, giggling, “You come home just in time. I thought you can make it.”

“I haven’t eaten food cooked by mom and dad for a long time. Of course, I will come back on time.”

Joseph’s mouth twisted into a small smile, looking gentle and warm.

His face was radiant with happiness. It’s hard not to let others think that he just went out and met his

girlfriend.

Zoe asked with curiosity, “Joe, you just went out with my future sister-in-law?”

The smile on Joseph’s face vanished momentarily, and he nodded.

Zoe continued cheerfully, “Then why don’t you bring her home?”

“She’s occupied now.”

Lucas frowned as he saw an uncomfortableness flashing across Joseph's face when he mentioned his

fiancée.

He still reckoned that it was a bit hasty for Joseph to decide to get engaged, for he saw neither

excitement nor happiness on his face.

Lucas already got the yes, and he also hoped that Joseph would be the same like him to marry

someone he loved.

Yasmeen surveyed from Joseph to Lucas and couldn’t help drawing Lucas’s sleeve.

Lucas understood it immediately and stopped talking about it.

As everyone was at the table, Lucas spoke to Joseph, “Wash your hand. Let’s have lunch.”

“All right.”

The whole family sat together and had lunch harmoniously. It was a warm and happy lunch.

Seeing that Yasmeen was thinner, Nicole turned her face to her and said concernedly, “Yasmeen, are

you losing weight? You look thinner than before. Samuel and I were worried about you.”

Yasmeen didn’t know how to respond. She kept silent.

After donating her kidney, the rejecting reaction of her body went quite badly. She couldn't eat as much

food as usual. But she got better recently. She couldn't tell them the fact.

“Yes. I want to be slimmer, for it looks better.”

“That’s absurd. Your bones will hurt me when I am hugging you.”

Lucas said humorously, and Nicole kicked him under the table.

He shouldn’t make fun of it.

Lucas ignored Nicole’s discontentment and said softly to Yasmeen, “You need to eat more.”

Yasmeen was speechless.

She actually had a loss of appetite after the surgery, especially for that food of high calorie, which she

used to like. They all urged her to eat more. She felt perplexed.

Yasmeen was a bit displeased, and she drag Lucas’s sleeve.

Lucas paused in a bit of puzzlement and immediately leaned over to her. It was so natural that he

seemed to do it for long.

But no one knew that it was his first time to do so.

Yasmeen stopped shortly. And next moment, she leaned forward to him and whispered, "I don't feel like

eating more. My stomach is small.”

Lucas looked a bit angry, but he still spoke to her in a low voice, “All right. Eat whatever you like, then.”

“Damn! What was going on here?”

Zoe bellowed as she couldn’t take it anymore.

She was quite surprised and sick of Lucas, who used to be indifferent but now displayed his affection to

Yasmeen before the whole family.
