Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 64

It was still raining heavily outside, and Maja’s voice could be clearly heard in the quiet compartment.

Ian’s fingers paused, a strange look flashing in his eyes.

Maja didn’t pay attention to his reaction; after all, her compliment was just casual chit-chat.

She closed her eyes, wanting to take a quick nap, when the car jolted.

She leaned her head towards him unconsciously, and the distance between the two of them shortened

in an instant. Heavy rain, slippery roads, and more and more vehicles on the road. They were stuck for

half an hour before the car slowly started moving.

To avoid the awkwardness when they were alone together, Maja chose to doze off during this half

hour.

She had been having trouble sleeping lately, and the sound of the rain outside was just too lulling.

Before she knew it, she had actually fallen asleep.

Jeff, sitting in the front, didn’t notice the atmosphere in the back seat until he saw a reckless driver in

the rearview mirror.

The car hit them instantly, and the whole body bumped forward. With this collision, Maja was about to

hit the window. fan frowned and pulled her back.

The woman’s limp body fell straight upside down following the inertia. Maja was deep in sleep, only

feeling like she had hit a very comfortable “pillow” with warmth. She subconsciously embraced it,

snuggled into a comfortable position, and fell back asleep.

lan’s grip on her arm stopped abruptly, and she lay in his arms, breathing right there. That’s the most

sensitive part of a man.

His gaze darkened and he looked down at her.

Maja was fast asleep, her long hair spread out, revealing her delicate little face. There were faint dark

circles on her eyelids.

The light in the car was dim, she looked quiet, weak and moving.

lan watched her for a moment and simply didn’t care about him, but turned his head to look out the

window, trying to calm down. When Maja woke up, she rubbed her eyes. Noticing a chin in her line of

sight, she jolted upright.

lan’s brows furrowed as he slightly lifted his chin, “Here we are, get out of the car.”

It was hard to tell if he was angry or something else.

The rain had stopped outside.

“Mr. Raymond, see you next time.”

Feeling awkward, Maja quickly thanked him and didn’t dare to look at his face. Once she got out of the

car, she practically ran into her apartment without looking back. Before she even entered her room, she

felt something strange.

There was a gap left at the door that was supposed to be closed. She stood at the door, recovered

from the embarrassment just now, and opened the door vigilantly. The apartment was a mess, like it

had been robbed.

The bedroom door was also ajar, but she didn’t dare to go in, instead calling the police right away

It was only when the police arrived that she followed them in. After confirming that nothing was missing,

she breathed a sigh of relief.

The apartment was obviously no longer safe. If there was another break-in while she was home, what

would happen?

A woman living alone dare not imagine such a scene. She packed some clothes and all her work stuff

she needed.

By the time she arrived at Rosewood Manor by taxi, it was already late.

Maja paid the fare, and the security guard at the gate immediately opened the gate respectfully when

he saw her.

This was the wedding house given to her and lan by Holden Raymond when they got married. But lan

was abroad at the time, he probably didn’t even know this place existed.
