~FLASHBACK~
*Earlier at the police station*
When the rest police men where getting ready for the mission, Ryan took Natasha into the office of his friend that was one of the higher ups. He still had doubts in his mind about the mission so he could only turn to his friend.
He was suspicious about a mole amongst the police force and he told his friend about it. They planned to place another tracking device in her hair just in case Ryan’s fears turned out to be true.
It was placed in a very non noticeable area and they used her long black hair to cover it.

*PRESENT TIME*
“Can’t you see what is happening or are you too blind to finally realize that it was all a trap to catch you and your cohorts?” I asked with amusement written all over my face as I brought out a tiny tracker that had been in my hair all along.
Shock was too little to describe what Jason and the detective were feeling right now.
“You told me you were sure that they placed just one tracker. What the hell is this??” Jason asked angrily.
“How was I supposed to know that they hid another one in her body??” The detective asked back.
“If you had done your job well, this wouldn’t have happened.” The detective wanted to retort when Natasha started talking.
“There’s no need to argue anymore because by now, I’m sure the policemen would have surrounded the area so you can’t even hide or escape anymore.” Natasha said as her snug expression increased.
“Do you really think that those mere policemen would stop me?? Just so you know, I’m always one step higher in whatever you think you are doing.” Jason said.
“Not this time..” Natasha replied as she notice some police men behind Jason and the detective.
She put Molly behind her and adjusted back a little.
“If I’m going to hell, I’ll take you with me.” Jason said and was about to lunge at Natasha and Molly when one of the policemen shot him on his leg.
He fell down immediately as he held his legs in pain. The detective tried to run away but they caught up with him easily. He tried fighting and was also shot on the leg.
Ryan rushed in immediately and embraced me tightly. I smiled as I felt the warmth off his body on mine.
“Are you alright? Are you hurt anywhere?” He asked as he stared at me in worry.
“No..” I croaked out happily.
He smiled before turning to Molly. He crouched to her level and carried her in his arms.
“I’m so glad you both are okay. It’s finally over..” He added and I smiled happily.
Yes… It was finally over. After this, Jason would be locked up and I’ll finally be free from him.
Ryan pulled me into another hug with Molly still in his arms. Right from the corner of my eyes, I saw Jason who was struggling with the policeman that wanted to place the cuff on his wrist.
He pulled the policeman’s gun and pointed it at Ryan. Since Ryan was facing me, he couldn’t see what was going on.
“I’ll make sure you will never be happy..” He mouthed to me before he fired the gun.
Out of reflex, I pushed Ryan out of the way and stood in front of him and Molly. I groaned in pain when I felt the bullet pierce my stomach. Jason’s eyes widened in shock when he saw he didn’t get his target and wanted to shoot again when one of the policemen shot his arm and held him down.
I placed my hands on my stomach and saw blood seeping out. I couldn’t hold myself again and was about to fall down when I felt Ryan catch me in his arms.
My eyes started to get blurry and the last thing I heard was his voice calling my name.
*Several weeks later*
I smiled happily as I touched the portrait I had taken with Ryan and Molly a week before. We all went out for an outing and took a picture together.
My life had been happier because Jason had been sentenced to a death roll for assaults, murders, attempted murders and aiding and abetting another murder.
Though I never wished him death but he deserved what was coming after all that he had done to all of his victims. After all that he had made them pass through.
His cohorts were also sent to jail too. Abigail was lucky enough to survive Jason’s attack on her but was given a life imprisonment for murdering my parents while the detective was sentenced to forty years imprisonment and stripped off his police title for aiding and abetting a criminal and leaking information to him.
My life has never been more peaceful than it is now. I didn’t have to be scared of anything because I was sure all my problems were over. I rarely had any nightmare again.
After the incident that almost took my life and that of my unborn baby, Ryan had been taken really good care of I and Molly. He practically even moved in with us.
I had later found out that the night I had with Ryan had resulted into a bundle of joy. I never realised I would take in that fast nor did I think the baby would survive the gunshot.
Luckily, nothing happened to the both of us. I touched my flat tummy with a small smile playing on my lips. In less than nine months, I’ll finally be able to hold and touch you in my arms.
Unlike my first child, I can guarantee that you’ll grow up with the love of a father. I promise to shower you with equal love I gave to Molly.
I was still deep in my thoughts when I felt muscular arms wrap around me from behind. I smiled knowing who it was and turned to face him.
“What are you think about baby?” He asked as he placed a small kiss on my lips.
“Just wondering how lucky I am to have both you, Molly and our baby in my life.” I answered.
“I could say the same thing. Last month, I never even thought that my life would be this colorful and that’s only because you walked into it.” He said, making me chuckle.
“That’s the reason I want to make a promise to you. From this day, I promise to love, respect and adore you till the rest of my life. Even though Molly isn’t mine, I’ll take care of her like she is my actual child. I love you so much Natasha.” He whispered.
I could hold back myself when tears started rushing down my eyes. Seeing him being so sincere and caring towards me melted my heart so I held him to myself and answered;
“I love you Ryan, with all of my heart.” Before I placed a longing kiss on his lips.
“What are you doing?” We heard a tiny voice and that made us break away from our embrace.
“Are you kissing?” I turned to see Molly staring at us with a knowing look.
“What did I say about peeping?” I asked, feigning a scolding look.
“You can’t really blame me for catching you both if you always do it everywhere you are.” She answered playfully and that made me and Ryan chuckle heartily.
I never knew that one day, I’ll finally be able to smile and live without being scared of what will happen. This only happened because Ryan came into my life and showed me that even though I had a very painful past, I shouldn’t take it to my future and live the rest of my life in fear.
If only my parents were alive to see their only daughter finally overcoming her fears. I know that they are happy for me wherever they are and they are still watching over me.
I just hope it would continue this way for a very long time.
