Dangerous Billionaire

Funeral.

The sky was overcast as all members of the Kim family were at the funeral to commemorate the passing of Melisa and Darren Kim.

Fredy Kim with his three grandchildren dressed in all black. The clock struck eight over seventeen minutes as a religious leader standing on the far right began to recite a prayer for Jessica’s late parents.

“Mom, Dad, I’m sorry I hated you so much, I really didn’t know you were dead. I’ve always believed that you’d pick me up at the orphanage one day. Mom, Dad, I already have a husband. His name is Lexi. But right now I can’t bring him here. I promise one day I will introduce you to you, mom, dad.” Jessica’s mind as she looked at the grave of her parents in front of her.

Every now and then, Jessica looked at the three other men who were fervently praying. Then he looked back at his mother’s grave. “Please pray for Jessica. Jessica wants grandpa to approve Jessica’s relationship with Lexi, only Lexi whom Jessica loves, Mom.” Jessica looked down, she felt desperate when she remembered her love story with Lexi who always had to be separated by her grandfather.

Then, from the direction of the entrance gate came the sound of people walking closer. The three other people except Jessica had guessed that it was the people who drove Samuel Ricardo to his final resting place.

Jessica was still down while the other three people began to worry.

Her grandfather and Daniel began to lose focus. In contrast to David who chose calm. Whatever happens was for the best. If Jessica didn’t know it, it meant that fate was on their side. Meanwhile, if Jessica found out, it was a sign that Jessica and Lexi were destined to be together.

All was well until something happened and Jessica turned to the people who had accompanied Samuel Ricardo to his final resting place.

“Someone’s dead,” Jessica muttered. Even though she was silent, her voice managed to make Daniel look in her direction.

The older brother just nodded and did not dare to say anything. It turned out that the funeral ceremony was earlier than what was rumored by the media.

When the religious figure finished reading the prayer, and said goodbye to leave the grave first. Daniel began to worry because Jessica seemed to be curious about what the funeral procession was to the right of her parents’ graves.

Kim’s grandfather looked at his grandson, there was Daniel who had been staring at him sharply looking for a way to keep Jessica from looking at the funeral they had to pass. Because it was closer than the gate of the grave, which became the only door to go in and out.

“Come on, we have to go to the orphanage now,” Jessica, who already knew today’s schedule, asked.

Her invitation was not immediately answered by the three men around him. They seemed to see each other, and wanted to delay until Samuel Ricardo’s funeral process was complete.

“We have to go there now, I miss Mrs. Grace,” Jessica insisted.

But the three were still silent and looked at each other.

“Elsa,” Daniel called.

If she hadn’t called Jessica, she might have taken the time to run away.

“Yes, we should be here first. It is impolite to pass by people who are conducting a funeral procession.” Daniel was pissed.

Jessica, however, was not impressed. She walked, and kept her feet forward.

She was forced to follow her grandfather and her two brothers, who hoped that Jessica did not know who the dead.

Jessica’s gaze stopped when she saw someone she knew. None other than Uncle Arman who is Chelsea’s father who worked as a branch manager at Ricardo Group.

“What is it?” Daniel asked. As much as possible he did not want his sister to know, so that everything runs safely without threats and violence.

Jessica shook her head, then both of her eyes fixed on the writing on the tomb. It was written by a man who stood tinsel right in front of her.

“Samuel Ricardo.” Jessica muttered the name and felt familiar with the name.

“Come on, hurry, don’t stop,” Daniel urged.

Jessica was transfixed and remembered the name. Yes, that was her father-in-law’s name.

Jessica didn’t listen to her sister. She walked back to the crowd of people who had just passed him. So, she forced to walk the crowd and finally he saw Mrs. Anna and Lexi who were close to the tomb.

“Mom,” Jessica called who immediately made Mrs. Anna turn to her daughter-in-law.

Jessica walked past a few people and immediately hugged Mrs Anna. No need to ask and no need to answer, what was happening was visible in front of her eyes.

Seeing the arrival of Jessica, Lexi immediately hugged the two women who were still crying. It was sad, but Jessica’s arrival really made him feel a little calmer.

Daniel looked at David and his grandfather in turn.

“What should we do?” the man asked.

Grandfather Kim, as the location of the highest decision, took a breath and threw it away slowly before he finally had to answer a question from Daniel.

“well, let Jessica be here today, we will do the memorial of the death of both of your parents in Jessica’s absence,” his grandfather replied. It was unlikely to make a fuss at the ceremonial puffing of the death of Samuel Ricardo. It would only embarrass itself.

“But,” Daniel protested.

The grandfather did not look. He remained to walk forward, get out of the area and would soon go to the foundation. It didn’t matter if there were no three grandchildren.

“David, can you get Elsa to come home?” Daniel asked his younger brother.

“Do I have to forcibly drag Elsa, she is not a child that I can carry anywhere! I can’t force her to come with me! “David replied casually following his grandfather’s steps towards the car.

Daniel himself saw Elsa from the cracks of the people who crowded there. His sister cried, feeling the same sadness that Lexi and her mother-in-law felt.

He should not be stubborn. Maybe his grandfather was right. For today we must let Jessica mourn the passing of a man who was none other than her own father-in-law.

Daniel wiped his face. Even though he was disappointed, he could not stand there and wait for his sister. He couldn’t wait to get Jessica out of there. Finally though with a heavy heart. The man got up and immediately walked out of the grave area following his grandfather and younger brother who were already in the car and were about to go to the next place.

Samuel Ricardo’s funeral was over. Lexi, who was silent and unable to ask Jessica anything, continued to hold her hand tightly. He wouldn’t let her go.

“I’m glad you came Jess,” Lexi muttered. Although the gaze was dreamy forward. However, there was warmth creeping into his heart. At least he knew that the divorce papers that were currently on his desk didn’t have Jessica’s signature on it.
