Chapter 381 What to Do With Her
Before Bella could breathe a sigh of relief, Dominic continued, "When I said okay, I meant that I wouldn't force you to come back with me. But the child is mine, and I can't cut ties with them. The most I can do is to live as you like, but I won't be excluded." Bella instantly frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"
He spoke with the tone of a negotiator, "Simply put, I'll come to visit whenever I want, whether it's during your pregnancy or after the child is born. You can't refuse my financial support, and you can't stop me from spending time with the child. This is the condition under which you're allowed to keep the baby." She began to understand his point. "If I don't agree with you, are you going to force me to get rid of the baby?"
He didn't respond, essentially confirming it.
Bella clenched the hem of her clothes tightly. She had no choice, but at least he wouldn't force her to return to Miller Manor.
Upon seeing that she was keeping silent, Dominic assumed she had objections and coldly added, "Another option is to come back with me. I'll give you five minutes to decide."
She bit her lip and was deep in thought. She had always planned to keep the baby, which was her decision from the start. She had no intention of continuing her relationship with Dominic. Although his request to visit made her uneasy, it was way better than to return to Miller Manor.
Dominic wouldn't fall in love with her just because of their child, and he would not marry her. She would be nothing more than a joke when he ultimately married someone else. It was preferable to break things off from the start to keep some dignity for herself. What Bella worried most was that he wouldn't want the child. She thoroughly considered her choices before making her final decision.
"You're welcome to see the child at any time, but our relationship will be strictly limited to matters concerning the child. Also, if you get married in the future and it negatively impacts me or the child, I have the right to refuse further contact."
"Fine. I'll have someone prepare a contact for you. If you wish to add any conditions, please let me know. This way, we'll have peace of mind." Dominic revealed his businessman side.
Lia found the entire situation
ludicrous. "What's going on with you
two? You're having a kid together but are still rigid about making a contract. Isn't that a bit over the Leonard said that you'd know how to handle this. Is this way your way of handling things, Dominic?
He turned to her and asked, "Then tell me, what should I do about her?"
For a moment, Lia was speechless. She knew about Bella's tough personality.
Dominic didn't stay much longer and soon left. As he walked out the door, his lips involuntarily curled into a slight smile, and the dark clouds that had been weighing on his heart for so long seemed to lift.
The next day, Bella got the contract from Magdalena that clearly stated all the terms.
Most of the terms involved
Dominic's responsibilities, which Bella couldn't refuse. For example, he would cover the cost of the
working, he would provide net
helper, and while she wasn't
50 grand a month. The amount
would double after the child was
born.
One of the most important points was that he could come and go whenever he wanted, and she couldn't refuse him. If she did, she had the right to decide whether to keep the child or forcibly bring her back to Miller Manor.
As for Bella's responsibilities, there was only one. She couldn't take the child out of his sight. Otherwise, he could enforce any of the decisions mentioned above.
From any perspective, the terms seemed to benefit her. Hence, she signed it without hesitation, though her inability to completely cut ties with him troubled her.
