Chapter 8 Shocking
Chapter 8 Shocking
Staring at the iron plate squids on the stall, Rick was about to drool.
Albert frowned slightly, "Is this ...what you want me to eat? "
Before the class was over, Rick couldn't wait to take her out and invite her to dinner.
The class was so boring that Albert wanted to leave early, so she went out with Rick.
But to her surprise, as soon as they went out of the school, Rick took her to the snack street.
Albert only had meals in fancy restaurants, and even the chefs were air freighted from abroad. She was
more curious about these most common and strange food.
Rick wiped his saliva, but his eyes were still fixed on the squid.
"Just wait. I promise you will like it."
It was not his priority to treat Albert.
Rick was not a good student at school either. He was used to fighting, being criticized by his teacher
and his parents. According to his previous experience, Jerry would not give up easily this time.
If the Dean really found Albert, she would probably be reported and criticized again.
So Rick decided to take the opportunity to pull Albert out when they hadn't come yet. As for what would
happen tomorrow, he would rather talk about it tomorrow.
With two cups of milk tea in her hands, Rena trotted over. With a little joy on her red face, she handed
one of the cups to Albert.
Albert took it over and thanked her. Her long hand was like a thin silver thread, tugging at Rena's heart.
Rick looked at the two of them in a daze, "My baby sister, what about mine?"
Rena was also stunned. Then she touched her nose awkwardly and said crossly, "Can't you buy it
yourself?"
Poor Rick...
Rick's sister had changed!
Albert drank the milk tea casually. She liked the sweetness very much.
She looked around secretly with her beautiful eyes, and inadvertently saw a few familiar faces.
The one who took the lead was Hogan, who had accidentally killed the teenage Albert last night.
A cold light flashed across Albert's eyes, and she instantly became gloomy.
Rick only felt a gust of cold wind blowing, and his whole body trembled.
"It's strange." He rubbed his arms and muttered, "Why does it suddenly become cold?"
The corners of Albert's mouth twitched.
It was not that the weather had become cold.
It was because of the gloom of the teenage Albert.
Her indescribable background, her mother's tragic death, her father's abandon, and the instructions
that she had to pretend to be a boy before her mother Charlotte's death all caused great pressure to
the young Albert.
Especially after Charlotte's death, she was attached to the family of her aunt. Not only did she have to
be treated coldly by her aunt and uncle, but also she had to be bullied by Ivy and others. That was why
the teenage Albert was so coward and self-abased.
No matter how hard her life was, she had been working hard and carefully to live. Whether it was to
change the paper with Jerry during the exam, or to help Jerry take the blame, she was clearly the top
student, but her grades were forcibly taken away. Even so, Albert had never complained or even
thought of resisting.
It was not because she was masochistic, but because she knew that with her ability, she could not
resist at all.
And her forbearance was nothing more than to live.
To live, to avenge her mother
But she didn't expect that she would be killed by those people last night because of the love letter from
Jerry.
Albert couldn't help sneering in her heart.
How similar were they?
They didn't hurt anyone, but they would always be involved for no reason, causing others' red eyes,
and even sacrifice their lives for it.
No matter it was Jerry, Hogan or the person behind Hogan, she would not let go of anyone who owed
the teenage Albert.
As for owing herself...
She wouldn't let go of Ashley and Darren easily.
Rena stared blankly at the tightened hand of Albert. The bottle of milk tea was crushed by her. The cold
liquid fell from Albert's fingertips, like blood, which was shocking.
Rena didn't know why she had such a feeling, but at this moment, she felt that Albert was like a ghost
crawling out of hell, hiding in the noisy crowd and looking for her target.
Rick called Rena several times before Rena turned around to look at him in a daze.
Rick frowned and asked, "What's wrong with you? Why didn't you answer me? "
"I..." Rena turned to look at Albert. Albert had already thrown the distorted milk tea bottle into the trash
can as if nothing had happened. She took out a piece of paper and wiped her fingers carelessly, as if
what had happened just now was just Rena's illusion.
When Albert turned around, Hogan and the others walked over.
Albert turned her eyes to look at Hogan.
Rick was eating squids happily, while Albert said, "If there's nothing else, I'll go back first."
Rena was a little disappointed, "Aren't you going to play with us? I know there is a place that is very
interesting... "
"No, thanks." Albert refused very bluntly. Seeing the darkened face of Rena, Albert thought for a while
and added, "Let's go there tomorrow."
With a bright smile on her face, Rena said briskly, "It's a date then!"
Then she took Rick, who was still eating, and left.
Rick waved at Albert, and then the siblings disappeared in the crowd.
As the two of them left, the warmth in Albert's eyes gradually faded away.
Rick was one of Albert's former friends. He had nothing to do with these things, and she didn't have to
get him involved.
After sending away the two of them, it was time to get even with Hogan.
Rubbing her aching shoulder, Albert crumpled the tissue in her hand into a ball and threw it into the
trash can. Then she walked towards Hogan.
This snack street was close to the school. It was not only students' favorite place to go, but also many
hooligans often came here.
This was Hogan's territory, especially for the past two days when he worked for Jason. Hogan earned a
lot and was taking his brothers to a big restaurant at the end of the snack street for dinner.
It was getting dark. The cold wind blew, and there was a strong smell of alcohol and cigarette, mixed
with the angry curses and bursts of laughter of the men.
Albert stood at the corner of the street, and the dim light reflected on her side face. Her slender and
thin figure looked very weak.
She was still wearing the school uniform, and such a lonely student had attracted the attention of
several hooligans.
She just glanced at them coldly and walked past Hogan and others as if nothing had happened. She
looked steadily forward, as if the class was just over and she was about to go home.
