The others agreed.
When the food was served, Daisie looked at the white-colored food that looked like a fan and asked the
owner. “What’s this?”
The man smiled and explained, “That’s Mylotic Cheese. It’s made from cow’s milk. It’s a local delicacy.”
Cameron took a bite. “Oh, it tastes great”
Freyja and Colton took bites too, and it did taste nice.
The next dish was served. The man brought it over. “This is chicken. It’s made with homemade marinade, spicy oil, pepper, and roasted walnuts. It’s our specialty here, and the tourists love it.”
Daisie tried it, and Cameron asked, “How is it?”
She nodded and took a bigger bite Everyone tried it too.
The man then brought over a soup dish. “This is cream of seaweed. It’s smooth, and the seaweed is crunchy. When yam is added in, it tastes the best.”
“It sounds good. Let me try it first.” Waylon took a scoop.
Cameron looked at him. “It smells great.”
After a few more dishes that were unique to the area were served. There was a flower cookie made with roses and other edible flowers, sweet and sour pork knuckles, and bread with hazelnut flour
Cameron salivated. She had never tried any of the local food before that
Waylon handed her a flower cookie. “This tastes quite nice”
Cameron took a bite. “This is the first time I eat cookies made of flowers. We don’t have these in the East
Islands.”
Daisie said, “Get my brother to learn how to make them if you love them.”
Waylon looked up. “Have we found a place to stay?”
Nollace took out his phone. “Don’t worry. I’ve booked the rooms.”
Colton said, “I’ve prepared the tools for camping tomorrow too. We need to wake up early tomorrow to get the food from the market.”
Freyja said to him, “I’ll go to the market with you tomorrow so that everyone else can start pitching the
tents.”
Colton nodded.
The next day…
Colton and Freyja got up early to get groceries. The four others went to the camping site.
There was a wide field surrounded by mountains. The lake was clear and covered in the morning mist. It looked magical
“This is too beautiful.” Daisie got out and sighed in awe.
Even Cameron was immersed in the beauty of the place.
Waylon and Nollace got out of the car “This is a great place to camp. You picked the perfect place.”
Nollace walked to the truck and took out the tools. “Let’s start with pitching the tents.”
The men worked together, and Daisie and Cameron went over to help.
The grass was wet with morning dew, but after the mist faded, they had a better look at the scenery.
After more than an hour, Freyja and Colton arrived with the groceries. The tents were ready.
Daisie laid a mat on the grass and laid out the snacks and fruits. Colton got the grill ready while Freyja moved two folding tables over and placed the food on top.
Everyone worked while having fun.
After that, they all sat on the mat and rested.
Cameron leaned against Waylon’s shoulder. “It’s eleven already. Time really flies.”
