To find Nimalaya
“Okay! That was weird and scary.” Nima commented, feeling her skin crawling at the recollection of how the event of the past minutes made her feel.
She was back in her living room, sleep totally evading her as the fear had alerted her brain completely.
Emily however looked concerned and dazed.
Leaving Gama as they had done wasn’t the best of decisions.
She and Nima hadn’t been in love with Gama, but he was someone dear to their heart. Their departure must have broken him.
Emily hates a situation where she and Nima would have to go against Gama to be with Joel.
The drama will be a big headache, because Nima won’t recognise him.
Gama however will demand explanations…
Emily’s view of Gama was so naive that she was only thinking of avoiding confrontation.
The thought that Gama might try to hurt Joel never crossed her mind, because Gama had once allowed her to look for her mate.
He had told her he will give up if she finds him, because he only wants the best for her.
To see her happy.
She had no idea he had secretly killed weaker demons that showed interest in her.
She had no idea she had no option of finding someone else in the first place. Gama had been ready to prevent anyone from taking her away from him.
“What’s up? You look so serious.” Nima said, bringing Emily back to her senses.
“Nothing much. Just wondering what that thundering in summer meant. It’s odd.” She replied.
“Yup. It creeps me out.” Nima affirmed.
Her phone suddenly rang, showing Joel’s name as the caller.
She wondered why he was calling, but still picked it anyway.
“Angel, you good?” Joel’s worried voice came from the other side.
“why wouldn’t I be?” Nima asked, confused.
Emily’s worry vanished the instant Nima picked the call.
She mouthed ‘thunder’ to Nima, who then gave a knowing look, but before she could say to Joel that she now understood what he was checking up on her for, he beat her to it.
“Were you indoors during the fiasco in the sky?” he asked.
“I barely step out of my room.” Nima replied.
“Interesting.” Joel commented.
“I’m fine, Joel. Thank you for asking.” She said to him and he hummed in response.
“Alright, sleep tight. Bye angel.” He said and ended the call.
“aww, he is so caring. God! You hit the jackpot. Rich, handsome, naughty, caring, fit….” Emily teased Nima, who blushed in response.
…..
Meanwhile, at a nearby hospital to the scene where Chris the A lister actor and his crew had encountered the phenomenon, Chris could be seen laying down on a hospital bed with his eyes closed.
“His vitals are normal. He must have been shocked by the event. There is no sign of being hit by lightning on him. Must have missed. Thank God!” A male doctor in charge of caring for Chris said to Mason, his manager.
Mason heaved a sigh of relief, looking past the doctor at Chris, who at that moment opened his eyes.
“F*ck!” Mason screamed, scaring the hell out of the doctor, who jolted and quickly turned towards Chris’s direction.
“What is it? You can’t shout like that in a hospital.” The doctor asked and chided Mason who was now looking in doubt.
He pointed a finger at Chris and said, “I swear to God that his eyes glowed red when they opened.”
“Hum..”
Confused, the doctor walked towards Chris, who wasn’t startled by the scream of Mason.
He just stared into space, as if he could see something everyone else couldn’t.
Taking a closer look at Chris, the doctor proceeded to check his chart on the monitor and pressed his stethoscope to his chest, listening to his heart beat.
“Everything looks fine.” he said to Mason, who still assured himself that he must have been mistaken.
“Can you tell me your name please?” The doctor asked Chris, who just tilted his head to stare into his eyes, not saying anything.
“Do you know where you are at the moment? Can you remember what happened?” The doctor asked.
With an irritated grunt, Chris opened his mouth and only asked one question.
“Do you know where I can find Nimalaya?”
