Breaking Rules

Chapter 7 (Part 1)

As I stared at Azazel, I swallowed. I noticed him furrowing his brow. I quickly averted my gaze and resumed my painting. What on earth am I thinking? Did I hear it wrong? Perhaps my mind is just messing with me. I closed my eyes for a moment and focussed on the painting. But I almost jumped when I felt his hand on my elbow. I was stunned for a moment before slowly looking at him. He’s still staring at me intently. And I’m not sure why I was reminded of my dream again. I turned away from him, my gaze averted. I shouldn’t have thought about it. That is entirely wrong. “What are you thinking?” I can hear a playful tone in his voice. I just looked at him and shook my head. He didn’t say anything, but he let go of my elbow. While he was staring at me, I resumed my painting. As a result, I shivered while painting. Of course, who wouldn’t be nervous if he was looking at me? When his phone rang, I noticed him frown before picking up the phone. He left a few moments later to answer the phone. I felt hungry, so I got up and walked around the house. Fortunately, there are meals available in the kitchen. Maybe it’s okay to mess around in his kitchen, right? I bit my lower lip and gathered the items I needed. Whatever the case may be, I’m starving and must eat.

I saw a refrigerator there, opened it, and thought it was empty, but it wasn’t. The refrigerator is, in fact, full. There’s even yogurt there. Yogurt, huh? As I stared at those yogurts, my lips parted. Is it all his? I’m not sure, but I bit my lower lip, trying to keep the smile from peeking through. I didn’t know that he also knew how to eat food like this. I had no idea he knew how to eat food like this. I was just shaken by the thought of him having a sweet tooth before taking one and opening it. I tasted some first, then took the chicken I saw in the freezer. I was eating the yogurt and getting ready to cook when I heard Azazel. “Don’t come here, fuck you. No, instead, return to the city with Nazarel.” As I heard his mad voice again, I swallowed. He was clearly in a fit of rage. Eventually, I just ignored it and kept cooking. First, I boiled the chicken. I’m cooking marinated chicken because it was one of my favorites, so I decided to make it. I was slicing the onion when I became aware of a presence on my back. And I almost didn’t move when I felt someone blow a hot breath in my ear. I almost jumped and turned to face Azazel. He was frowning at what I was doing, and I could tell. “What are you doing in my kitchen?” His voice was hoarse, and almost nothing came out of it. “S-Sorry t-to m-medd-d-dle w-with y-your k-kitchen. Uhm…” I swallowed and turned around to face him, hoping to properly explain, but it was a mistake. He simply moved closer to me. He even rested both of his hands on the kitchen counter. I’m trapped between his arms. Our bodies are almost in contact with each other. I hadn’t noticed what he was wearing until now. He changed his clothes. He’s already dressed in a black muscle tee and jeans. I raised my gaze to his. He’s fixed his gaze on me. I bit my lower lip nervously as I noticed his gaze drop there. Then he looked me in the eyes once more. I bit my lower lip even more. “Fuck, I told you not to fucking bite your lips.” As his gaze fell to mine, I noticed him swallow sluggishly. And I’m at a loss for what to do. What am I going to do? Push him? I should push him because he shouldn’t kiss me again. That’s not possible; perhaps next time I won’t know what to do. So, while I was still sane, I had to push him. Slowly, my hand rose to his chest, hoping to push him away from me. But instead of pushing him away, I snagged his shirt. I caught a glimpse of the ghost grin on his lips. When I heard a laugh coming from our direction, our faces were only an inch away. I pushed him out of panic. His face, but not his body, moved away. “Fuckers,” he grumbled, closing his eyes as if holding himself back. As I became aware of how quickly my heart was beating, I reached for my chest. He hasn’t moved, and his hands are still resting on each side of me. Despite the presence of newcomers, it appears that he has no plans to release me. I heard another burst of laughter, which was quickly replaced by a curse. “Holy shit, live porn is really good, isn’t it? Just let us know when you’re finished, Azazel.” I could hear Samael’s voice. As a result, I forced myself to escape Azazel. Looking at them made me feel embarrassed. Samael smiled at me, but the other man who resembled them did not; he simply stared at me coldly. Samael approached me and would have hugged me, but I was pulled away from where I was standing. I frowned slightly because the grip on me was so tight. My gaze went to Azazel, his face darkening once more. His hand was on my waist. As I watched his hand on my waist, I went insane. Samael smirked at us, his gaze drawn to Azazel’s hand on my waist. I was startled by the kind of grin he was giving us. I tried to get rid of it but couldn’t. He just drew me closer to him. “That’s why you don’t want us to come to the rest stop, you stupid fuck. What’s your plan, uh? Trying to sneak up on someone’s skirt?” The tone of Samael’s speech is a little teasing. “Samael, fuck off. I warned you not to come here.” “You’re a jackass, brother. We’re just here to unwind. See, Nazarel? He’s a jerk who got drunk last night. He’s acting like a lunatic, threatening to shoot you in the head because you didn’t lend him twenty bucks. What the fuck, bro? It was only twenty bucks.” “You can’t even pay back a five cents, and then you say only twenty pesos? Are you serious?” I just stood there watching them argue in front of me. It appears normal to them. It appears that they are used to deriding each other. I sighed weakly and pondered. Then I remembered what I was cooking. I tried to get away from Azazel so I could see what it was. Fortunately, he let go of me. His eyes narrowed as I walked away, but he said nothing.
