Chapter 27: After Party

While John and I are in the pool, look at John and say, “boy, Brad is acting weird, I just saw him staring out through the patio doors!”

“He’s probably just a bit jealous, he gets that way sometimes, don’t let it get to you,” John replied. I shrugged my shoulders and said, “let’s enjoy the rest of the night!”

We stayed in the pool for about an hour then went to the pool room to rinse off. Everyone was inside the mansion partying, so we figured if we made love in the pool room, quickly, no one would even notice we were gone, so that’s just what we did!

“I can’t get enough of him.”

We had sex in the pool room and again, it was amazing! After we finished, we went back inside his mansion and grabbed a drink. No one even knew we were gone because everyone seems to be a bit tipsy and having a great time. John met up with his chief operating officer to discuss what was next. John will have another fashion show and his chief officer will be the one to handle this show since it’s the biggest of the year. He will handle all the marketing and the development.

While John talks with his COO, I met up with Leila. She seems to be getting along with everyone and I knew she would, that’s the type of person she is. Leila and I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a sandwich, We stood at the island in the middle of the kitchen and started talking.

“So, Star, have you talked with Sam lately?” Leila asked.

“No, I haven’t. The last time I talked to him was when I sent that text telling him that I was done with him,” I replied.

“Oh, gotcha. He texted me earlier today. I don’t want to tell you because I didn’t want it to ruin your day,” Leila said.

“Oh, yeah! What did he have to say?” I asked Leila.

“He said he was going to come here and try to win you back,” Leila answered in a nervous voice.

“He better not! That will be a big mistake!” I replied.

“I know! I know! I’ll try to come up with some excuse to tell him,” Leila said.

“Well, let’s not worry about him right now, let’s have a good time!” I replied.

I went over to John and Leila went outside on the patio. John and his chief operating officer were discussing the next show and when I needed them, I overheard John tell him that he wanted to do the biggest runway show in New York, one that has not ever been done before. Then I heard it! John mentioned to him that he wants ME to be the biggest model on the panel! I wasn’t shocked, but surprised I guess. Certainly, I was not expecting to hear of this!

I walked up to John and said, “Oh my gosh, John, did I hear you right? Do you want me to be the top model at a runway show?”

“Yes, babe. You heard me right! You will be the top model at this runway show!” John replied.

“OMG. Wow,” I said.

“We have much planning to do for this, so it will be a while until this show,” John said.

“Wow, I understand. You guys keep talking, I’m going to go and tell Leila,” I replied.

I went outside to the patio and I couldn’t believe what I saw. Leila and Brad are making out in the pool! I’m happy for Leila, but I must find out if Brad is serious about her or if he just wants a one–night stand with her because I will not let that happen, Leila is my best friend and I will not let anyone hurt her! I stood at the doorway for a moment then walked over to the pool, Leila looked up at me and said, “Oh, hi Star.” Brad turned around suddenly and said, “hey, we–we were just having a good time!” I laughed at both of them and said, “I don’t care, Leila, I have more good news to tell you. Can I tell you now or when you get out of the pool?” “I’ll be getting out soon, it’s getting late and I gotta be at work tomorrow at 11:00 am,” Leila replied. “Okay, I‘ Il wait,” I shrugged my shoulders and walked to the table on the patio and sat there and waited.

Ten minutes later Leila gets out of the pool and sits with me on the patio. Brad left and went inside. I’m assuming he changed, but I didn’t care, I just couldn’t wait to tell Leila this news.

“So, what’s the good news?” Leila asked me.

“John is planning on doing a big show here in New York. A runway show! And he wants me to be the top model in it!!” I said excitedly.

“I’m so surprised. I just can’t believe this!” I said,

“Well, believe it! You’re going to be really big here, soon!” Leila said.

“I can’t wait for it. I’m going to show my parents back home how well I’m doing!” I replied.

“Yes, you are girl!” Leila said.

After our talk, Leila went to change and had to get to bed. I went inside to meet up with John, I walked into the first–floor office and I noticed John and Brad talking. They must be arguing about something because all I can see is Brad’s arms flying all over the place. John just stands there calm, like he doesn’t care how mad Brad is.

I’m going to have to ask them what this is all about!

I’m not sure if I should walk over now and interrupt them or just wait until they finish? I see Brad’s mad, but I’m sure they will

work it out.
