Blood Oath: Forever Yours

Chapter 11: One Yuan to Buy Out a Lifetime

Chapter 11: One Yuan to Buy Out a Lifetime

A blast of cold breeze suddenly blew past her ear, and Lawrence reached out his hand abruptly right at

that moment.

He grasped her by the arm to pull her up from the ground, and after she was on her feet, he dragged

her to the door to firmly conduct her out of the room without giving her any chance to explain.

When Charlotte had turned her head back, she was met with Lawrence’s scarlet and bloodcurdling

eyes as he roared at her, “You make me sick, Charlotte! How naive of you to actually think that you

merely getting on your knees will suffice to get your wishes fulfilled! I will never let you and the Garcia

family off. This is just the beginning of our game, so get the hell out of my face right now!”

She was thrown onto the corridor, and the next thing that had hit her body was a round coin.

“And this too.”

Lawrence stood by the door in a stand-offish manner while the chilliness on the corner of his mouth

turned into contempt as he uttered, “Do you remember how you have bought out my feelings for you

with this exact coin back then? Now that I have given a thought about it, it was just utterly asinine and

disgusting.”

Charlotte raised her gaze towards the direction of the coin, and when she had finally recognized it, she

falteringly threw herself at it and held it tightly in her hands after picking it up.

This was their love token back in those days.

She was the one whom had taken the initiative to court him relentlessly back then, and he was still not

as eminent and prominent as he was currently at that time. She had even hired someone to create this

personalized one-yuan coin that only belonged to them to comfort him back in those days.

“Listen to me, Lawrence. Are you willing to let me buy you off for the rest of your life with this one-yuan

coin?”

“Of course, I do, but what if you were to go back on your words one day?”

“I will come to a sticky end then, and I will never get to be happy till the day that I die.”

The coin had jogged Charlotte’s memory of her vows to him, but little did she know when she had

made her promise that day, the curse would come true so soon like chickens had come home to roost.

She carefully stroked the two alphabets that had represented their names on the edge of the coin, and

she slowly raised her head to stare into Lawrence’s eyes while asking softly, “It is indeed karma that

has landed upon me now that I am where I am today. It’s just that I’m not sure whether you are

assuaged by my current state now?’

As soon as she had ended her sentence, she helped herself up in a fluster by relying on the wall and

limped off.

Lawrence’s countenance was black as thunder as he stared at her back, and blue veins stood out on

his forehead while he got hot under the collar.

He should have been comforted after seeing Charlotte whom was dressed in disheveled clothes to be

in a tight corner miserably and being lowly in manner.

However, his rage had swelled as he felt increasingly fretful while staring at her disappearing back

figure.

Just when he was about to turn and walk away, the elevator which was located not far away opened its

door suddenly, and Jeffery could be seen scurrying towards him with an umbrella in one of his hand

while carrying a mini medical kit in the other.

When Jeffery had passed by Charlotte, he subconsciously turned sideways and stole a glance at her.

“I have brought you the blood, Mr. Harris.” Jeffery walked up to Lawrence and raised his head while

reporting to him, but he was immediately taken aback when he had laid his eyes on Lawrence’s face,

“Mr. Harris, your face?”

Lawrence gave him a dark glance after discerning the astonished look on Jeffery’s face, “What’s

wrong?”

Jeffery opened his mouth to try to answer, but he felt that words would not suffice to express his sight,

hence he swiftly launched the camera function on his phone and handed it over to Lawrence, “Take a

look at yourself, Mr. Harris.”

Lawrence reached the phone, and as soon as he had taken a look at himself, he was slightly startled

as well.

His grim and hideous face that was filled with blue veins which seemed like they were going to burst

anytime soon had recovered miraculously without even a single drop of blood infused into him.

He instinctively raised his eyes and shot his gaze towards the direction which Charlotte had taken her

leave, and his countenance grew darker after cognition had manifested in his heart.

Jeffery followed his gaze while his face lit up with glee and wonder, “That girl possesses something that

you need, Mr. Harris. Your face has healed on its own without even using any blood after you have

touched her body under the influence of drugs by mistake. Is she a virgin then? Did you use her virgin

blood just now?”
