BIT 109
“Oh God, Marianne, what happened to you? Why has your face changed?” Susan stammered as she saw Rebecca appear at her door. Rebecca winced and scratched her neck, even though it didn’t itch.

“I’ll explain everything to you, but can I clean myself up first?” she asked, catching a whiff of the Harvey’s mother.
Susan nodded stiffly, too shocked by the significant change in Rebecca’s appearance without the hairy mole and wig.
Rebecca quickly cleaned herself up and returned to Susan in her true appearance. Susan stared in disbelief. “I don’t understand…”
“Susan, I’m going to tell you everything…”
“You should have been honest with me from the start. There’s no way I wouldn’t support you. I trust Max, which means I trust you too,” Susan said after hearing Rebecca’s story.
Rebecca winced. “I’m sorry…”
“So, Rebecca, huh? Not Marianne?” Susan quipped casually.
Rebecca nodded. “Yeah, thank you so much, Susan. I mean it,” she said, looking at Susan sincerely.
Susan waved her hand dismissively. “I didn’t do anything! So, what’s next?” she asked
curiously.
Rebecca took a deep breath. She still had to wait for news about Alicia and Sean, so she wasn’t entirely sure what to do next.
“You can stay here as long as you like, you know that, right?” Susan said, noticing the confusion on Rebecca’s face.
Rebecca smiled. “Thank you, Susan. I’ll discuss the next steps with Harvey and Max.”
That day, as per Max’s instructions, Rebecca stayed at Susan’s house. Ev

Suddenly, she thought about what might happen if she ran into Sean. Maybe he’d try to force her to come back or, worse, hurt her like he did his ex-wife, Maggie.

That night, while she was rocking Lily, there was a knock at the door. peeked through the peephole and saw Harvey and Max standing there.

“Oh God, my baby…” Harvey couldn’t hold back his tears, his hands trembling as he touched Lily’s soft cheek.
Rebecca cried too, not knowing what to say. Behind Harvey, Max just waited space for their reunion.
“May I?” Harvey asked, never taking his eyes off Lily.

“Of course,” Rebecca replied, carefully transferring Lily into Harvey’s still trembling hands. “I didn’t think we’d ever be together again so soon. If it weren’t for you, Becky, maybe-”
“No, just don’t talk about it. What matters is that we’re back together,” Rebecca interrupted, wiping her tears with her palm. She stepped back, allowing Harvey and Max to enter Susan’s house.
“They’ve caught Alicia. She was found guilty of collaborating with Victoria and Mia in the kidnapping, torture, and extortion,” Max said before Rebecca could ask.

Rebecca sighed with relief. Even though Sean was still on her mind, she chose to save that question for later. “Thanks, Max. If it weren’t for you, none of this would have been possible,” she said sincerely.
Max waved his hand, “I was just doing my job, and I was paid for it. You’re the one who came up with the brilliant idea to disguise yourself as Marianne and infiltrate the Specter family mansion. You’re the hero in this story, Becky,” he said, patting Rebecca’s shoulder.
Harvey nodded. “Max is right. If you hadn’t told me where they were keeping my mother, it might have been too late by now,” he said, looking at Rebecca with teary eyes.
Rebecca just smiled faintly. To be honest, she didn’t do all of this just to save Harvey’s mother but also because she wanted her small family back. She knew how much Harvey still loved her.
As they were talking, Lily suddenly started crying, startling Harvey.
“She’s crying! What should I do?” Harvey asked, panicked by Lily’s increasingly loud cries.
Rebecca, Susan, and Max suppressed their laughter.
“She’s probably sleepy. Let me make her a bottle,” Rebecca said, quickly jumping up from the sofa and heading to the pantry. While pouring the milk powder into the bottle, she watched Harvey, who was frantically trying to calm Lily down, and suddenly that warm feeling she thought had gone returned to fill her heart.
“Can I put her to bed, just me and her?” Harvey asked, holding Lily tightly as if he never wanted to be separated from her again. Rebecca smiled, “Of course. She must have missed you too…”
“Oh Lord, I never thought I’d live to see such a sweet reunion!” Susan exclaimed, cupping her wrinkled cheeks with both hands.
Rebecca grinned. “This happened sooner than I expected. Um, Max, I want to ask you something,” she said after making sure Harvey had entered the bedroom.
Max looked up, “Yeah, go ahead.”
Rebecca cleared her throat softly. “Um, about Sean, is he still looking for me?” she asked cautiously.
Max nodded. “Yes, he’s searching for you everywhere. I heard it from one of the staff who works with him.”
Rebecca frowned. “So, I shouldn’t show myself in public for a while?” she asked, confused.
Max nodded. “No one will mention your name except Victoria, but I’m sure she won’t bring up your name in public because that would mean admitting she lost to you. Even Nancy and Margareth don’t know that Marianne is Becky.”
Rebecca nodded.
“But will Sean ever stop?” she asked, growing nervous because she couldn’t bear to hide for a long time.
“If his domestic violence case is proven, of course, he’ll have to stop looking for you and stay in prison instead. Don’t worry, I’m working on it. I’ll let you know as soon as I have any updates Max said casually.
Rebecca sighed in relief.
“Susan, I’m sorry, but I might have to stay here for a while,” she said, looking at Susan apologetically. Susan waved her hand dismissively. “Nonsense! I have no problem with that, You and Lily can stay as long as you like.”
Suddenly, Harvey appeared from the direction of the bedroom, walking briskly, causing Rebecca and Max to look at him in confusion..
“Harvey, what happened?” Rebecca asked, curious.
“The police just called me. Alicia had a miscar
