BILLIONAIRE’S SECRETARY

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

He looked so masculine and emitted this powerful aura, and I could not take my eyes off him.

“What the fuck is wrong with me, and why was I not concentrating since I stepped my foot into this company, the Seamus Group of Companies?”

At that moment, I think my heart shunned me as I snapped out of my world of fantasy.

I even wondered how I was able to describe those features he had in an almost dark office.

“I have been waiting for you.”

“Have a seat,” he said in a deep, broad voice that almost made my spirit pop out of my flesh.

But wait, why does this voice seem so familiar-like I have heard it before, somewhere, but where exactly?

Immediately the white lights were turned on, and I saw him drop a remote control on his table as I slowly looked up at his face. He gave the weirdest smile I had ever seen in my life, and a loud gasp filled with uncertainty and shock left my lips.

Finally, I got to know who the CEO of the Seamus Group of Companies was.

I tried to keep my balance, as my knees could not keep it anymore.

I remember how I made a mistake last night at the bar. I suddenly realized I was standing in the presence of the man I threw up on in the bar.

I prayed to God that night so I would never cross paths with him again, but I did.

I think we don’t always get what we want.

Suddenly I remember his statement, “YOU WILL PAY DEARLY FOR THIS,” and BOOM, my knees could not stand it anymore as I took two steps backward trying to balance myself because I would not want to disgrace myself for the second time, and I wondered at the same time why I couldn’t balance myself because I was good at heels, but that wasn’t my problem right now.

He looked up at me, and all I wanted to hear was, ‘You are fired, I told you you would pay dearly for what you did to me yesterday, right?’ But seconds passed and I didn’t hear a word, rather, he looked down like he didn’t remember me.

Finally, my heart became to rest once again.

At that moment I took a step to go sit down. He looked at me again, but this time he looked so angry that his eyes glittered like a burning furnace.

Immediately, my heart told me that he was going to roar like an angry lion, and then I heard the growl.

“I said, Sit down,” I said. I wobbled and walked like a chicken to the chair and fearfully sat down.

Oh God, why?

“So you are my new secretary?” How did this happen, and why did Lucas employ you?” he asked, with a visibly angry expression still written boldly on his face.

I lowered my head in embarrassment as I tried to register the very first word he said to me.

He asked a question, and I was not sure how to reply, so I still kept my head down as I fixed my gaze on my laps.

“Well, that’s a good thing for me, right?”

“Gavriel Seamus, the CEO of the Seamus Group of Companies, gets what he wants,” he said.

Firstly, the first statement he made, what did he mean by it being a good thing for him?

Secondly, what did he mean by “getting what he wants”?

Finally, his name is Gavriel Seamus. God, I was literally crying inside of me. My heart was tearing up already.

His voice made the matter seem worse.

I finally mustered up the courage to say something, I didn’t want to go home without this job.

“Mr. Gavriel,” I began.

“I am so sorry about what happened last night, I was so wasted, but that doesn’t matter right now,” I explained when I noticed he looked up at me.

“She dared to call me by my name, a name no one in this office has ever dared to call,” he wondered.

“So? How can your simple apology fix the damage you caused?” He asked in a fierce tone as he waited for me to respond, but the moment he did not hear any response, he stood up from his chair.

“Can you explain to me how your apology can undo your mistake?” he asked again as he walked towards the window and stared outside, and then he went back to his chair and sat down.

“Mr. Gavriel, I am sorry for my mistake, and I promise to do any punishment you give me.”

I didn’t know when the statement “I promise to do any punishment you give me” came out of my mouth, but it was already out because I saw the boss raise one of his eyebrows as he looked up at me.

“Are you sure about that?” Mr. Gavriel asked. I don’t understand this man seated in front of me.

A few minutes ago, he sounded like he was going to roast me alive, and now I agreed to any punishment he was asking if I was sure.

“Yes, sir, I am sure about that,” I answered as I saw his lips widen with a devilish smile.

“You are hired,” he said so fast. Wait, did he just say I am hired? I can’t believe this.

“I am hired,” I whispered to myself.

“Yes, you are selected, you are to start work tomorrow.”

Absorbed in my fear and rampant thoughts, I did not realize that Mr. Gavriel was watching my facial expression and assessing how she would react when he told me what punishment he had for me, which was also an offer.

My mind was going rampaging as my thoughts went far and wide.

But why did he give me the job so suddenly, and what punishment did he have for me?

_________

Her mind was going insane at this moment in time as she sat in front of a man, whose expression came from his lying posture as he sat down reminiscing about what happened last night.
