Chapter 21 Need I Put Out the Fire for You?
Somehow, Gwenyth's heart sank onto the ground.
Even if she knew Eddison was using her to win Nancy back, looking at how nervous he got about Nancy still set her vexed for no reason.
It'd been four years.
He didn't even remember who she was.
Given that, the crush they'd had on each other when they had been teens, the first times they shared meant nothing to him.
The burning curtains in the house were torn down and several waiters poured water from basins to have the fire under control.
Eddison held Nancy in his arms and went back to the house and put her on a couch.
Her eye sockets were red with tears brimming, and she covered her mouth with a hand while pain pushed a sob out of her throat.
Having no experience dealing with this kind of situation, Eddison turned his face to Estella who was stunned aside, and spoke, "Come over and stanch the flow of her blood!"
"I... I don't know how to handle oral hemorrhage!"
"Then take her to the hospital."
Finishing that, he stood up, ready to leave.
But Nancy gripped one of his fingers, so tightly. Tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down.
"Eddie, don't go."
She was shedding tears out of pain, and her full mouth tasted rusty.
Having bumped down suddenly and gotten stepped on many times in the mayhem, she was at the edge of swearing, but she saw Eddison leave Gwenyth for her.
That was the moment she held back his impulse.
When he pushed away those crazy zombies and nervously embraced her, she, for the first time, felt his concern.
She asserted he cared about her.
After all, they'd known each other for three years and dated for six months.
She was pretty and hell-bent on him. It was impossible that he had no response to her love.
"Please, don't go."
Tears couldn't stop streaming down from that pair of puppy eyes.
Staring at her for a while, he broke her fingers away from his hand one by one.
"Sorry, my girlfriend is waiting for me."
He left Nancy here and went outside.
The rest of the people swarmed back into the house one after another and began surrounding Nancy after they found out the fire was put out.
She was crying her heart out, and people were comforting her softly.
But she didn't need help from them. All she needed was Eddison's stay with her.
...
Gwenyth was waiting in the car, which she couldn't get off since the door was locked.
The pills had kicked in and she felt waves of heat surging in her body.
Apart from her, the driver was in the car, too. The AC was cooling the temperature at full capability, but she felt no coldness but her face and body burning.
She felt her mouth parched and tongue scorched and her heart was going to pump out of her throat.
When Eddison opened the door and got in, he immediately noticed something went wrong with her.
Knowing it was the pills, he gestured to the driver to drive.
"I'm kind of under the weather."
Gwenyth turned her face to him and swallowed but couldn't assuage the thirst in her throat.
She laid her eyes on the profile of this handsome man, running them down his chiseled chin. Catching her sight, he loosed his tie and smoothly undid two buttons on the neckline of his shirt to reveal his sexy clavicles.
"Why are you fixing your eyes on me like that? Am I that good-looking?"
He turned his face to her suddenly to meet her eyes.
She looked away instantly, and her heart raced. But only two seconds after, she looked back at him.
He raised an arm and wrapped her shoulders, lightly pulling her into his hug.
He was caressing her, teasing her body. She wanted to dodge, but he grabbed her shoulder and intentionally pushed her down on his thighs.
She was trying so hard to repress herself.
Sensing her body was shaking, he stroked her on the back and asked, "What made you uncomfortable?"
"I..."
Gwenyth couldn't define this feeling while craziness was eating at her.
Eddison leaned down to her ears and whispered, "You want to do it now, don't you?"
She gaped, wondering why he knew it.
The last strand of her sanity helped her think up the two glasses of cocktails she had drank.
It turned out that they were contaminated, which Eddison knew, so he intentionally let her drink them up.
"You tricked me!"
She wanted to get up but got pushed down by his hands and kept on the seat still.
"It..."
"Wasn't me," Eddison explained first.
"But you did know the alcohol has pills."
"So what?"
"So you tricked me!"
He didn't reply to that.
He knew she would lose control at any time as she couldn't help but let out a light groan already. That made the driver peek at her through the rear-view mirror.
"Faster."
Eddison ordered, with a cold voice.
The driver stepped hard on the pad to accelerate, not having the guts to have another peek.
The car was darting on the road.
Gwenyth's awareness was getting smeared as she was going insane, and every breath she took in smelt Eddison. She was grinding his thighs with her face and her arms going unwittingly to wrap his waist.
Pulled up by him, she opens her red lips ajar and licked them with her tongue tip, her face reddened and her eyes staring blankly at him. She became the epitome of carnal desire, luring and arousing him.
He swallowed.
"Need I put out the fire for you?"
Her brain was in a cloud at this moment, and all she could see was only this man in front of her.
She wanted to do it, a million times.
She was clinging to him, wrapping her fine arms around his neck and straddling his thighs like a clingy elf.
The driver parked the car at the gate of his villa.
Eddison pushed open the door before the driver could come near to open it for him.
He stepped out a leg, holding her hips with his palms and easily lifting her so she could twine her legs around his waist, making it easy for him to hold her with one arm.
She was showering him with kisses, one of her hands stripping his neckline, trying to tear up his shirt.
He chuckled huskily, walking steady steps into the house holding her, then putting her on the bed of the main bedroom on the second floor.
The second her back touched the soft bed sheet, she got up and threw herself into his arms.
Holding her hands, he pushed her down on the bed.
"Is it that rush?"
Gwenyth had no idea what she was doing as the pills took over her mind and thinking. She felt heating up like a fireball was flaming in her belly. She must put it out.
"Give it to me!"
"Give it time."
As Eddison loosed his hands and stripped down his shirt, she leaned onto him, groping his back and leaving some blood scratches there.
Frowns appeared on his forehead, for he didn't think she could be this crazy and wild.
With her hands, she restlessly pawed him, pinched him, and even dragged his hair.
He turned her body around and tied up her hands behind her back with the tie.
She was lying prone on the bed, and being pushed down on one shoulder by him, thus no way to get up again.
It was hard to strip her off that long dress, so he just tear it apart.
...
When it dawned out there, her mind finally came back.
She felt sores everywhere on her body, a rather cool blanket wrapping around her waist and her hands tied up. She was lying face down, covered with sticky sweat all over her body.
She could hear someone showering in the bathroom.
The silhouette through the glass door was tall.
She tried to get up, but a headache stopped that move as if her skull was cracked.
It gradually came back to her what had happened last night. She remembered drinking a glass of cocktail with something in it and Eddison taking her here.
He'd done it on purpose.
He knew the alcohol was drugged, yet let her drink it.
She was fuzzy about the details though, how she looked at this moment and the sores on her body suggested she and Eddison had had a passionate night.
