Billionaire Assassin

Chapter 14

FIGHTING IN SCHOOL:

No noise was heard in the school cafeteria when Demon made his request.

“Sorry, but no,” Elena said and concentrated on her food.

His chest tightened when she told him no. He wouldn’t give up.

“Evelyn, help me and beg your beautiful sister on my behalf, I know I did wrong when I nearly ran her over with my car earlier today. I am so sorry for that, I want her to forget what happened and let us start all over again and be friends.” Demon told Eva.

“Ena, the guy said he is sorry for what he did and has apologized. What more do you want from him, to kiss you for you to know how sorry he is?” Ena told her sister. She hopes her sister becomes friends with this beautiful boy so that she can get to see him everyday with them in school.

“I didn’t ask for your opinion sis, I don’t want to be friends with him, pretty boys like him are dangerous,” Elena said remembering her conversation she had with her father a long time ago when she was young.

Her father used to tell her that whenever you see anything pretty or beautiful, know they are dangerous. Her father pointed her to a flower with four different colors, it looked beautiful.

“This is the most beautiful flower in the kingdom but also a dangerous one. Pretty things are often dangerous Elena remember that.”

“So I am not interested in whatever friendship he wants to offer, he may be handsome but I can tell he is dangerous.” She added.

‘You are right Ena, I am dangerous but not for you.’

Demon thought and stood up from his seat going on his knees.

What is he doing? Why can’t he control his body when he is around Ena?

He pondered in thoughts and sent a smile to Elena who was shocked by his act.

“Please get up, you are causing unnecessary attention to us.” Elena told him looking around them as all eyes in the cafeteria were feasted on them.

“Not until you have forgiven me and agree to be my friend.” Demon told her.

“So what if I still refuse? What will you do?”

“I will follow you around with my knees seeking your forgiveness, after all I am very sure that we will be in the remaining classes together, so please Ena forgive this foolish guy here,” Demon said sincerely.

“You wouldn’t dare,” Elena said with glaring eyes.

“Try me Princess.” Demon response with the tone of a man who keeps to his words.

Staring at him again, Elena saw how serious he is and she couldn’t say no to him.

“Fine, you can sit down, I have forgiven you,” Ena said and Demon quickly stood up to his feet and sat down.

“Thank you so much Ena, I promise you never to repeat such a mistake again,” Demot said grinning.

“You better not,” Elena said with a warning tone. “So since we are friends, let’s get to know each other. I am Ena, and my younger sister lives around here with my aunt. What about you?”

“I am Damien, I’m the only son of my parents, though they don’t live here,” he said and leaned forward to whisper in Ena’s ears. “I came from a different dimension.”

Ena laughed at that. “I can see that Damien.”

“So Evenly sorry to ask, why are you putting on a mask? Are you that much more beautiful than your sister?” Damien inquired. He could only see her eyes and lips and with her shape of face, one could tell the face behind the mask is beautiful. Though his heart wasn’t sky racing on Evenly like it did on Ena. He knows he is now very fond of Ena. It was a lie and he knows it, fond will be what he has for Ena now.

Elena tried to hold her smile from showing when she heard Damien words.

Evenly blushes behind her mask as she cleared her throat to answer him.

“It was a fire accident which happened a few years back and my face is badly wounded. I don’t like the kinda looks I was receiving in my old school that was why my aunt brought me this mask and changed me into this school to start afresh where no one knows about my ugly scars. So here we are,” Evenly said the lies as if she has been practicing it.

Smooth lies Eva, smooth lies.

Elena thought as she was pleased with her sister replied.

“Someone once said this to me; Your scars should never be something to hide, we all have them. Never forget that your scars are a sign of strength, of survival, wear it with pride.”

“Thank you but I don’t think I can take the mockery again from this school, I love it this way now.” Evenly told him. Though he was right.

Demon smiled and returned his gaze to Elena. “So back to you beautiful, do you have a boyfriend?”

“I don’t have and please no more questions.”

They ate their food without any further questions. Demon didn’t order any food, he just stared at Elena all through until the bell rings for their next class which surprisingly they have together.

Demon smiled and called it Fate.

The time went fast and soon it was closing time. Elena waited outside the school building waiting for her sister and her aunt to come and pick them up.

The students were all going to their different destinations, some with their rides, others with legs since their house is not far from the school.

Elena ignored the whispers and looked directed to her.

Has no one seen a girl with purple hair before?

A guy’s loud cries suddenly drew her attention as she turned and saw 5 guys pushing down the guy to the floor. They didn’t stop there, they started kicking him very hard all over his body.

Elena watches all these with wide eyes and is surprised to see the students who haven’t left yet, bringing out their phones to record it, laughing at the guy who was on the ground. They weren’t even trying to help the guy who was being beaten. She couldn’t control her anger and walked towards them.

“Why don’t you leave him alone and pick someone your own size!” Elena shouted, drawing the attention of the five guys to her and the rest of the students.

“What did you just say?” One of the guys who appears to be the leader asked, facing the new girl.

“I said you should leave him alone and pick your own size to fight with. Aren’t you five ashamed that you are beating up one person.”

“Look here pretty girl, if you don’t want your face to be disorganized I suggest you stay out of this.” The same guy spoke flexing his muscles to scare her.

“And if I don’t? What will you do?” Elena asked, reaching them, and bending down to help the fallen guy to his feet. “Are you okay?” She asked the guy she has helped.

“I am fine, thank you for coming to my rescue.” He said grimacing a little bit from the pain in his body.

He was probably her age or less. He was lean and his hair was a solid black. Even though his face was covered in bruises, Elena could still see his cute face.

“You are proving stubborn. We will teach you not to mess with us in this school,” he said and pointed to one of his gang. “Get the girl out of our way and if she refuses, use force on her.”

One out of the four guys moved forward and tried to hold Elena’s hand but he was sent flying by her kick. He fell down with a loud thud, his legs broken as he couldn’t stand up.

But now they were surrounded by the whole students who were recording what was happening.

Elena saw Damien standing among the students, though he was not recording, he was staring at Elena.

“If you don’t want to end up like your friend here I advise you to run to your homes while your legs are not broken yet.”
