Beverly

Chapter 16

Beverly Carington

It’s been 5 months since we’re in LA and it’s weird that I love this place. I started to get used to being with Clyde, Grandma, Jocelyn and Fred. They’re all really nice people. Today is Fred’s birthday and we’re planning to give him a puppy.

3 years ago, they had a golden retriever named Rufus and he died because he’s already 13 years old. Clyde gave the idea to grandma and Jocelyn and they agreed right away. I mean who doesn’t love dogs.

“Wake up… you lazy.” I poked Clyde and he just moved his body a little.

“Clydey… wakey wakey.” I said it right in front of his ear. He opened his eyes right away and pulled me to his bed. He hugged me and then he closed his eyes again.

“Clyde… we’re going to get the puppy today.” I said but he ignored me.

“What time did you go to sleep last night?” I hissed as I tried to push him away.

“Good morning sweetie.” He kissed my cheek and got up.

“Don’t sweetie me… get your ass to the bathroom and take a shower. Let’s go and get the puppy!” I said and he glared at me. I glared at him back. He walked lazily to the bathroom and I ran downstairs.

I helped grandma to make breakfast and as always… I will make my tuna. Tuna with mayonnaise is the best meal ever. Oh my gosh.

“Grandma, want to come with us to get the puppy?” I whispered and she turned to me giggling.

“No… you two go. Ohh I can’t want to surprise him.” She smiled widely and squealed a little.

“Me too. I bet he will be so happy.”

“Yes, he will.” Not long after that, Clyde entered the kitchen. He stole a bacon and I looked at him disbelief. He’s going to steal one more but I smacked his hand.

“Don’t even think about it.” I hissed.

“Oh come on, I’m hungry.” He whined as he back hugged me.

“Sit down and wait…” Grandma smacked his arm.

“Hah!” I chuckled.

“Give me one.” He said and I gave him a really small piece of bread and a little amount of tuna. I put it into his mouth and he kissed my cheek.

“Thanks Beef.”

“Clyde Dante!” Grandma warned him in a high tone.

“I love calling her beef.”

“If you call me that once again… I will kick yo-” He shut me by kissing me.

“Kick your what? Balls? Ass?” He smirked and I glared at him.

“Go away you weirdo.” I hissed and he chuckled walking away.

“Oh oh… you will try your wedding dress… tomorrow.” I froze hearing it. Me and Clyde looked at each other and he nodded a little.

“Okay Grandma… you’ll come with me right?” I asked as I turned to her.

“Yup.” After that, we called everyone to have breakfast. We talked a lot of things as usual and then me and Clyde excused ourselves to go on a date. Of course Fred won’t be suspicious.

“Oh my gosh… I’m going to try a wedding dress.” I said as I entered the car. He started the car and drove out.

“Chill… you’re trying it only.”

“But you know what it means, Clyde.” I turned to him and he shrugged.

“When do you want to end this? I’m starting to miss New York a little bit.” I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

“We have 7 more months… remember?”

“Clyde… how about we just get married and then leave… we can get divorce back in New York.” I said.

“And you suddenly want to get married?” He asked, raising my eyebrows.

“I can’t keep lying to them… It’s hard for me to look at their eyes.” I sighed because that’s the truh. It’s been so hard for me… especially for the past 5 months. We kept lying and lying.

“But you said you love them…”

“I do… I really do, that’s why I can’t lie all the time. I feel bad.”

“But if you speed all this up, you won’t spend time with them again.” Clyde said and right…

“But I can’t lie and lie and lie… you’re hanging out with Anna these days and I’m helping you to lie too. Gosh… I made so many sins here.”

“You made a lot in New York too.” He said in a cold tone.

“What’s your problem? That’s my job…”

“Well… think this as your job too!” He bursted.

“Clyde… until when?”

“Beverly… we signed a contract for 1 year.”

“Oh come on… besides you’re with Anna now.”

“We’re just friends… we’re just hanging out.” He hissed.

“They will find out about us, you know…”

“They won’t.”

“Oh really?”

“What are you jealous? We’re friends, Beverly. Gosh…” He bursted again and I scoffed.

“Friends my ass… Do friends kiss each other?” I hissed and he gestured us both.

“Excuse you… I never think of you as my friend. You’re my client, you idiot. I’m doing this for free and because you caught me a lot of times!” I bursted angrily.

“Then why don’t you go out and meet a guy… flirt… kiss and then have sex…” He bursted back and that made me extremely sad. I shut my mouth that second.

“You can go freely out… You can go wherever you want with any guy you want.” He added and I just stayed silent.

“Me and Anna are just friends. The kiss? It’s only on the cheek.” He said again and I ignored it. After that, Clyde stopped talking until we arrived at the puppy place.

I hate Clyde… I just hope that he finds his Bonnie soon.
