Dilemmas of Alpha Tyrion
Alpha Tyrion’s POV :
Her voice faded when she closed the door with that sad look in her eyes. I clenched my jaw and wanted to check on her.
Hug her. Comfort her. Tell her that…
‘You like her. ‘ Sabre intervened and my steps froze.
I looked around the secluded chambers and a slow chirping of birds was the only sound other than my own heavy breathing. I had been over thinking about her and this situation too much.
In all this mess, it had slipped my mind that I was actually really angry at her for her own stupid decision of taking part in the competition. It was not easy to be there. Yet, she had jumped right into it without discussing with me first.
I was the Alpha, her mate! How could she just announce that?
On top of that, a strange energy radiating around her which made her eyes pop with different colors and a powerful aura, was another secret waiting to unfold. She was truthful in her answers though, but it was impossible to believe a girl who was so much under her father’s control that didn’t tell me the real reason of that mate bond.
Could she still be lying about everything?
But then why did I believe her and act like a small pup around her?
‘I just want to know about her past. I had to gain her trust, Sabre. ‘ I scoffed.
My wolf growled, his rage knowing no bounds, ‘ What do you mean by that? Were you faking the connection? Are you playing with that innocent girl? ‘
‘It’s not playing with her emotions at all. How can I trust a girl who so easily threw the blame on her father? She has some weird energy in her especially that incident today, it proved my suspicion was right all along. ‘
Sabre was cursing me in my head, his desire for running into the wild made me forcibly shift right there.
Once on my all fours, I jumped towards the woods and ran out of the old chambers. My mind now in full control of Sabre, his anger making me suffer. He intentionally put so much pressure on my limbs while running to cause me more pain.
‘Why don’t you just understand? You are blind because you can’t see the innocence on her face! ‘ Sabre scoffed.
‘You’re just too much smitten by her innocence. I know she’s waiting for a chance to attack us. Maybe she called her father for a reason. ‘ I added.
‘I know you don’t feel that about her. It’s your ego which is getting high on your head. ‘
I was cornered in the blank space of my brain, making me a prisoner of my own thoughts and my arrogant wolf. Yes, I agreed that I was out of senses when I was with Celine. I wasn’t even thinking about pack matters, Ava, or the challenge.
Not even the throne. My life goal.
The magic around her always made me somewhat attracted to her. It was a sin though. To fantasize about another woman when I had left Ava carrying my child alone to be treated like trash.
‘But she looked happy with her new Alpha mate. ‘ Sabre said.
I hissed angrily, ‘ She was pleading us to help her. Couldn’t you see how desperate she was to get out? ‘
Sabre roared, ‘ I could never feel the connection with her. Even now, I don’t find her genuine. ‘
My wolf was one of the most stubborn living being in the world and also someone whom I could never fight with. It was a mystery that he could get attracted to Celine but dumped Ava in a heartbeat.
We went too deep into the woods and stood at the sacred cliff where the moonlight was the brightest. It had always provided me with enough serenity whenever clouds of doubts had covered my head.
‘Moon Goddess, I am going to get the throne anyhow. I don’t care if I lose people or feelings for anyone. ‘ I thought inside my mind.
A lightning struck hard in the clouds which made Sabre flinch.
‘Tyrion, you will have only one chance at love. If you lose it, there’s no getting her back. ‘ The voice echoed around me.
The winds had grown strong and I could feel the force almost pushing me back which clearly meant Moon Goddess didn’t want me here anymore. My wolf howled to the Moon in respect and we made our way out of the woods.
Why would the Goddess talk about love at this moment? She knew the throne meant the most to me. It was the only thing which could break me if I don’t get it.
Unlike other Alphas, who took immense focus on their mates, I never wanted one for myself. The only sole reason was to get the Alpha King title.
‘Alpha, we have a guest here. He wants to have a meeting with you. ‘ My Beta Rufus mind – linked with me.
‘I’ll be there in five minutes. ‘ I told him.
I shifted back to my human form once I reached the pack borders and the guards bowed at me as they opened the entrance doors. My pack had begun to accept the fact that Ava was not going to be their Luna which simply meant that they would not be the people of the King.
Celine couldn’t just live in the outskirts like that. It was depressing, unsafe and cruel on my part. I needed to get her back here before the competition starts to make her comfortable with the Royal etiquettes. But I was amazed by her sheer discipline and determination. The way she cleaned the trashy place and lived there without any complaints was a surprise to me.
For a girl, who wanted to enjoy the Royal status and be the Luna, she acted pretty good enough to be in the lowest state.
‘Will you ever trust her? ‘ Sabre asked.
‘One day for sure. ‘ I said.
‘I hope you’re not late enough and we lose her. ‘
My heart fluttered, not in a good way, but with anxiety. Why would she leave us? I knew if I let her live in the pack, she wouldn’t even think about moving out on her own.
“Alpha, he’s in the meeting room. ” Beta Rufus was standing in the doorway, waiting for my arrival and I walked with him to the meeting room.
“Hello, Brother! ” Kain greeted me and I felt my jaw clenching angrily at him.
‘What the fu*k are you doing here? ‘ I shouted.
He laughed, ” Not stealing your woman again. So, calm down… “
