Chaos erupted at the dock when Boss’ men were ambushed upon their arrival to receive the batch of goods. Both parties engaged in a shootout.
Two teams of ambushers were involved: one went to retrieve the goods, while the other continued firing at Boss and his men.
Meanwhile, Boss, who was on the phone, grew annoyed upon realizing the signal at the dock. He cursed and threw his phone aside, intending to leave. However, someone suddenly appeared before him, causing Boss’ yellow pupils to constrict. He recognized the person as J and asked, “Is that you?”
Alpha Kilian smirked arrogantly and confirmed his identity. Boss turned his attention to the dock and then back to Alpha Kilian. Clenching his fists, he inquired, “Are these people yours?”
Alpha Kilian shook his head, flashing a faint smile. “No! I’m just here to help. Those men belong to your nemesis.”
“Bloodmoon pack?” Boss narrowed his eyes, his expression turning grim. He then looked directly at Alpha Kilian and asked, “Did you form an alliance with him?”
“Not exactly an alliance. I’m just assisting him,” Alpha Kilian replied calmly with an ambiguous grin.
Seeing people tampering with the batch of goods at the dock, Boss knew that his position in the Midnight Fang pack would be at risk if he failed the mission. With this in mind, he glared at Alpha Kilian and questioned, “How much did he pay you?”
“What?” Alpha Kilian chuckled coldly. “It seems like you don’t know anything about me.”
Afterward, Alpha Kilian stopped smiling and added, “With the money I have, I can buy the Midnight Fang pack! Actually, scratch that. I believe I can bury all of you in cash!”
Boss was rendered speechless. How could I forget that he’s richer than the Moonwalk pack itself? While people like us have to work and risk our lives for money, he effortlessly accumulates wealth. It’s as if he’s naturally talented at making money!
At that realization, Boss’ eyes darkened. In the next moment, he quickly pulled out his gun and aimed it at Alpha Kilian. “In that case, I won’t show you mercy.”
“Ha!” Alpha Kilian chuckled, maintaining his calm demeanor. He stared at Boss and taunted, “Oh? Are you resorting to violence against me?”
“J, get those men to cease their actions. Otherwise, I will really shoot you,” Boss warned.
Alpha Kilian scoffed and glared at Boss. “Go ahead, then!” He gradually approached Boss, his eyes appearing even darker in the darkness, as if he knew Boss wouldn’t dare to pull the trigger.
“Since you’ve already withdrawn, why did you involve yourself in this mess again?” Boss spoke in a cold tone.
Alpha Kilian’s gaze became sterner in response to Boss’ question. “Well, you should know, shouldn’t you? Firstly, you had hackers attack my company. And then, you messed with my woman. What do you think you’re doing? Do you believe that just because I’ve backed off, everyone can bully me?”
Boss pursed his lips. “But before that, you injured my men.”
Alpha Kilian didn’t deny it. “Indeed. Since you know it was me, you should also know that I’ve already shown you mercy. Otherwise, do you think you and your men could roam safely in the Moonwalk pack until this day?”
Boss was left speechless when Alpha Kilian put him in his place.
“The batch of goods on the ship means nothing to me. However, I believe they hold great importance to you, don’t they?” Alpha Kilian asked.
Boss’ eyes flickered with an indiscernible gleam as he posed the question, “What do you want?”
Alpha Kilian’s expression changed dramatically, and he stated, “What I want is quite simple. I want you to answer my questions.”
Boss silently stared at him.
“Why did you search for my woman the last time?” Alpha Kilian inquired. Boss smirked and replied, “You’re doing all this because of a woman?”
“You should answer my questions,” Alpha Kilian retorted. “And what if I refuse?”
“If you don’t comply, both you and your batch of goods will remain here!” Alpha Kilian emphasized. “Don’t you think you’re too confident in yourself? I’m the one with the gun.”
“Shoot me if you dare.”
