Divorcing 69
Chapter 69: His Peculiarity
"Mike!"
"Keep it down. The maids downstairs might hear us."
It took Chloe a few seconds to realize what Michael was talking
about.
Is he seriously still joking with her like this?
Michael grabbed a clean set of pajamas from the closet and handed them to her. "No more fussing, okay? Just get some sleep," he said gently.
His voice was deep, laced with a unique magnetism.
Chloe used to fall for his sweet, loving act, thinking he still had feelings for her.
But now, she felt like it was all an illusion!
She clutched her pajamas and closed her eyes.
"My contact lens case is in the downstairs bathroom. If you haven't thrown it away, can you grab it for me?"
She's slightly nearsighted but not too bad, only wears glasses for formal events.
Chapter 69: His Peculiarity
Every bathroom in the house used to have her contact lens case.
"I'll have a servant bring it up for you."
Michael wasn't falling for it. If he went down there, she'd definitely make a run for it.
The servant quickly brought the item. Chloe grabbed the glasses case and headed into the bathroom.
She was out in under 30 minutes, quick as a flash.
Michael had already shrugged off his suit jacket. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing a glimpse of his collarbone. Chloe stared at him for a few seconds, her mind drifting to some. steamy memories from before.
She frowned slightly, tempted to slap her.
Michael strolled over, a smirk playing on his lips as he noticed the blush on her cheeks. "What are you looking at?" he chuckled. "None of your business."
Chloe wouldn't admit it, but he didn't mind. He just chuckled softly.
"Wait for me."
That was a bit too suggestive. Chloe knew exactly what it meant.

Twenty minutes later, he walked out in a robe, water still dripping from his hair.
His robe hung open, revealing chiseled abs and a sculpted chest.
Chloe's throat felt dry, so she swallowed hard.
The scene before her felt irresistibly tempting, like a field of poisonous poppies.
"BRB, getting some water."
Chloe stood up to go downstairs, but as soon as she reached the door, he pinned her against the wall.
A massive shadow loomed over her, plunging her world into darkness.
Michael was an ordinary guy.
During the messy divorce, he'd been holding back his urges, and it was driving him crazy.
Today, Chloe finally came back. What happened next was inevitable.
Chloe's breath hitched.
"What... What are you doing?"
Michael pressed his forehead against hers and whispered, "Why

are you so tense?"
She glanced up at him, his face reflected in her eyes.
Michael was pleased by the look of intense focus.
He smirked and then pressed his lips to her full, rosy ones.
But just then, Chloe twisted the bedroom door handle, slipped out of his grasp like a nimble rabbit, pushed him in the back, and slammed the door shut, locking it tight!
By the time Michael realized what had happened, she had already locked him out.
"Chloe, open up!"
Michael was absolutely furious.
Chloe sneered, "Sorry, we're getting a divorce. Sleep alone!"
He's not the only one who can lock the door.
Chloe turned and flopped back onto the bed, her heartbeat slowly calming down.
She slept like a log. The next morning, she woke up and swung open her bedroom door.
Michael had never faced a setback, whether at Shawn Manor or outside.
Chapter 69: His Peculiarity
Yesterday, Chloe locked him out. Can't imagine how mad he got.
She headed downstairs. Just then, the maid stepped out of the kitchen, startling her.
"Mrs. Shawn?"
Chloe raised an eyebrow. "What about Michael?"
Mr. Shawn headed to the office bright and early.
So, he's not home right now?
Chloe was thrilled, planning to make a run for it while he was away. But in the next moment, a servant approached her, dragging a suitcase. "Mrs. Shawn, should I put these in the master bedroom?"
