A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 955: All Night

“Brendon…” Ranita clutched his fingers, burying her face in his chest as tears rolled down.

The road surveillance footage was intermittent, as not all areas captured Addyson.

When they left the city and crossed the river bridge, Ranita saw Addyson pause for a moment. Her heart truly sank; she was terrified that Addyson might jump off.

Ayaan was still a child.

“It will be alright, it will be alright!” Brendon knew that saying more was useless. Ayaan was a part of Ranita, her most precious child, and no amount of comfort would help.

She needed to adjust herself.

“I will find Ayaan, don’t worry!” Brendon received a call from Caleb. Although Micah was also his secretary, he wasn’t as quick and precise as Caleb.

“Mr. Stuart, I’ve contacted my connections in Steland and issued a warrant for Addyson. We’ve also set up checkpoints at many intersections to look for her. We should have news soon.”

“Additionally, I didn’t let the news report it, fearing it might provoke Addyson into doing something irrational.”

They waited all night but to no avail.

Brendon’s eyes were bloodshot from staying up, and Ranita looked utterly worn out.

When Jedidiah arrived, he was startled by Ranita’s appearance. “Ranita…”

“I’m fine.”

Only Jedidiah knew about the situation at Bowman’s Mansion. Benedict and Alexia were in poor health, and knowing about this would likely sadden them.

Especially Benedict, who might feel guilty and distressed.

“Are Mom and Dad okay?” Ranita’s lips were pale as she forced herself to stay composed. “Especially Dad.”

“I told him you had an urgent matter to handle and didn’t tell him.” Jedidiah paused and sighed. “But we can’t keep it from him for long.”

“This morning, he kept asking about Ayaan, saying he fell asleep last night and didn’t know when Ayaan came back. He asked me to bring him over.”

Ranita pressed her lips together. “We’ll deal with it later. Keep it from them for now.”

“Any news?” Jedidiah asked. “I didn’t dare use my connections here, fearing Mom and Dad would find out.”

“I know. Brendon’s efforts are enough.” Brendon’s financial power was impressive; he nearly turned Steland upside down overnight. But Addyson seemed to have vanished without a trace.

Ranita was extremely anxious.

“Would you like some water?” Brendon approached, handing Jedidiah a cup of warm water. “We might need your help with the hospital; Ranita might not be able to go there for the next couple of days…”

As he spoke, Brendon suddenly put down the cup. “Wait a minute.”

“What is it?”

Brendon quickly ran off. A map of Steland was spread out on the table. Their people had conducted a thorough search in Steland but couldn’t find anyone.

“Ranita… look… Addyson disappeared about five kilometers from the city center. We’ve sent many people to focus on searching the surrounding area, but she hasn’t appeared on any road surveillance since.”

“So…” Brendon’s pen slid to a dock not far from where Addyson disappeared. “This is a docking point for city sightseeing boats.”

Then the pen moved to another docking point.

It was a harbor in a development zone. Driving there would require a detour and was quite far. But by water, it would take about half an hour.

“And here… not only is it a docking point for boats, but it’s also in the opposite direction of our search area.”

Ranita’s eyes lit up. “You mean Addyson might be hiding at this harbor?”
