A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 874

Chapter 874

“Where’s Tim? Is he out?”

Luther munched on the nut and said, “He left early in the morning. I think he’s meeting Yale.”

“Oh.” Sage thought it had been a long time since she saw Yale.

Yale was still staying in room 88 in Skye Hotel. When Time came, they started drinking in the middle of the day and played Sage’s interview on the TV.

“What are you doing here? Why are you not watching it at home?” Yale glanced at Tim and handed him a glass of whiskey on the rocks.

Tim took the glass and had a sip. He said slowly, “‘I came here to say hello to a lonely man.”

Yale choked a little and said, “Am I the lonely man? Am I not the same as you?”

They sat on the sofa and watched TV together. On the screen, the host asked Sage, “I heard you were in a plane crash?”

“Yes.” Sage looked calm in front of the camera. She talked about the plane crash on flight Y1006 that shocked the world. “Thank you so much to the captain, the co-captain, and the crew on the flight that day. They were very professional, calm, and alert. If not for them, I wouldn’t be able to sit here and chat with you today.”

“After the crash, a small episode happened. A passenger on the plane accused you of hitting someone. Later, it was the captain who came out to speak up and gave you justice.” The host smiled and tried to make her talk more. “Are you still in contact with him now?”

Sage said, “Yes, Captain Yale and I go way back. He’s a friend of an older brother of mine. Now, he’s recuperating in Salem City.”

Off-screen in room 88, Yale’s light grey eyes narrowed a little. He pressed his lips and did not say a word.

Tim frowned a little and said, “Silly. Isn’t she telling the world that you helped her because you both were in the same team?”

Yale turned at him and glanced at him in confusion. “Aren’t we both on the same team?”

Tim turned to Yale too. “Do you know what the same team means?”

Yale said, “One of us?”

Tim fell into a short silence. “Have you heard of the evil gang?” “Yeah, it’s not a good word.” “Well, that’s what it means.” Tim nodded. Yale was speechless. He asked with a frown, “Were you scolding me?” Tim shook his head and sighed softly. “Ah, your IQ is worrying.” After half a day of watching the show and drinking, Tim turned to look at Yale.Yale was fiddling with a model airplane. Tim asked, “When are you going back to Tovres?”

“I’ll go back at the right time,” Yale answered him without looking up.

Tim narrowed his eyes. “When is the right time?” Yale looked at the girl on the model airplane sleeping behind a boy with a silly face. He looked a little lost in thought and did not answer Tim.

Just when Tim thought Yale would not answer him, Yale suddenly spoke up. “When she reaps happiness.” It was time for him to leave. Yale looked at the lifelike model and touched it carefully. He

loved the gift, but he received it too late. It was just like her. He appeared in her life one step late.

In the end, he was no match for him. As soon as Jace came back, he knew that he had lost.
