You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 910 Is She Planning Harm?

Over the next three days, everything in the villa proceeded smoothly, especially the tasks in Lily Winters’s hands, as if she had pressed the accelerator, swiftly completing them, clean and organized. Sometimes, she even had time to help Luna take care of the children and cook.

“Aren’t you tired? Working tirelessly every day, the house relies on you, you still get your two days off a week, and your salary remains unchanged.”

Watching Lily Winters busy in the living room, Luna couldn’t help but speak up.

She was also a woman, moved by compassion.

As far as she knew, although Lily Winters was considered a live-in housekeeper, she still managed to apply for two hours of free time every day to go back home and take care of her husband.

During these two hours, she had to prepare food and water for her husband for the day, as well as address his bodily functions from the previous day, and occasionally take her husband for follow-up medical checks, tasks even a machine couldn’t handle.

“It’s fine, it’s fine, I’m not tired. You pay me so well, I should do as much work as you pay me. You letting me go out every day is already very kind to me. I can’t ask for more.”

Lily Winters scratched her head in a honest and shy manner, smiling apologetically.

“It’s okay, there’s nothing major going on here, taking one or two days off is fine. I can handle things, your husband needs care, and you need rest too. People are not machines, they can’t be overworked, they need to rest properly,” Luna said.

For the first time since her employment, Lily Winters felt no prejudice from anyone, even being willing to respectfully address her husband as “Mr.,” a warm feeling washed over Lily Winters.

In the end, Luna directly and firmly arranged for Lily Winters to have one week off once a week, with an additional two hours for going out every day, another form of care for her.

After finally getting through a few days without incident, Luna thought everything would continue smoothly, but she received a message from Lily Winters.

In the early morning, there were already people exercising in the villa area, and the housekeepers from various households were also going out shopping for groceries. Lily Winters was no exception.

Walking on the spacious sidewalk of the villa area, enjoying the picturesque scenery around her, she unexpectedly felt calm. She was content with the present situation, unlike the gossiping women who discussed their masters every day or felt the world was unfair.

“Lily Winters, wait a moment.”

Just as Lily Winters was thinking of making some special dishes from her hometown for Luna to try, a sharp female voice behind her interrupted her thoughts.

Turning around, she saw the striking figure of Vivian in a red dress, high heels, and delicate makeup. Lily Winters’s face fell for a moment, stopping in her tracks and looking at her in silence.

“Why are you walking so fast? Is it already this early and you need to go out to get things? Luna’s requirements of you are too high,” Vivian said as she approached Lily Winters, hinting at the strained relationship between Lily Winters and Luna, trying to appear caring and understanding, as if she hadn’t criticized Lily Winters before.

Lily Winters couldn’t be bothered to pretend with her, and asked indifferently, “Do you have something to discuss?”

“If there’s nothing I can’t find you for a chat, rest assured, I’ve already prepared for what you need, it’s still early, I’ll take you for breakfast, and we can chat slowly,” Vivian said.

While trying to reach out to grab Lily Winters’s arm, Vivian hesitated and pulled back when she saw the calluses and tanned skin on Lily Winters’s hands.

Lily Winters neither agreed nor refused, she just wanted to see what trick Vivian had up her sleeve. After living for half a lifetime, she wasn’t blind to who treated her well and who didn’t.

Taken to a high-end coffee shop to have breakfast, Lily Winters secretly messaged Luna, informing her that Vivian wanted to talk privately with her. The purpose of the meeting would have to be investigated to find out.

“How are you feeling about your work at home recently, still adapting?” Lily Winters pushed a cup of coffee and a small cake toward Lily Winters, appearing very caring as she inquired about her wellbeing.

Lily Winters also paid close attention and noticed that Vivian used “at home” instead of “at Russo’s place,” as if they were close. Lily Winters was not someone to Orion Russo, so why the friendly address? It seemed Vivian was a woman trying to seduce her boss and rise to power overnight.

Initially, Lily Winters would have felt ashamed of her petty and judgmental thoughts, but this was Vivian, so she felt justified, considering everything that had transpired.

“Fine,” replied Lily Winters coldly.

Sensing Lily Winters’s hostility, Vivian deliberately lowered her stance and apologized with a smile, “I was wrong before, I shouldn’t have spoken carelessly. I was just too worried. I’ve encountered housekeepers who only cared about money before, so I was a bit too frank.”

Lily Winters said nothing, just quietly watching to see what else Vivian had up her sleeve.

“I came to find you this time just to ask for a favor. Rest assured, once the task is completed, I will give you a generous reward,” Vivian said.

About thirty seconds passed with no response from Lily Winters. Vivian’s patience reached its limit, her smile turning somewhat stern as she said, “From what I know, your son is still in high school, your husband is disabled, owes a lot of debt, and you’re the only one working to support them. You’re living in a basement, you really need this money.”

Lily Winters felt a bit panicked. Bringing up her family meant Vivian had already investigated her and was targeting her family.

“What do you want?” Lily Winters asked cautiously.

Seeing her finally react, Vivian’s smile brightened again. Leaning back on the sofa, lifting her coffee cup, and taking a sip before replying leisurely, “I am just taking pity on you, working hard every day to come home to such difficult circumstances. You need money, I need power. I won’t ask you to break the law. You can trust me.”

How could Lily Winters believe her? What ideas could she have in mind? As expected, the next moment Vivian made a demand that left Lily Winters speechless.

“I just need you to keep an eye on Kelsey Silverton’s every move and report to me at the right time. I’ll take care of the rest. Once it’s done, I’ll give you two hundred thousand, enough to pay off all your debts, let your son study well, and no longer work half-time and half-time, risking malnutrition. Isn’t this a good deal for you?”

Why did Vivian want to know about Kelsey Silverton’s movements? Was she planning harm? A negative thought suddenly struck Lily Winters.
