Unexpectedly Married to a Billionaire (Lorraine and Logan)

Chapter 124

Chapter 124

The Moore family did not waste even an inch of their vast estate. For areas that were not suitable to make into an orchard, they were transformed into flower fields.

A vast piece of land served as a flower field at the foot of Moore Estate, decorating the residence with all sorts of colorful flowers.

The rose garden in particular was especially beautiful, which also served to supply 90% of the florists within Glendale with all sorts of varieties of roses.

“Get in contact with some of our largest fruit wholesalers and ask if they’re willing to cooperate with me,” ordered Logan.

Stuart was puzzled as he replied, “I don’t understand, sir. Are you saying that you have other orchards elsewhere?”

He knew about the Moore family’s ranches, private islands, and even vacation villas. But he was unaware of the Moore family having any additional orchards beyond the ones that he was already tasked with managing.

After a brief pause, Logan explained, “They’re not mine, but my wife’s. The orchards she’s managing have a bumper harvest this year, but someone out there is deliberately targeting her and snatching away all of her long–time customers. The fruits in her orchards will rot if we don’t manage to find a buyer in time.”

Stuart immediately moved the phone away from his ear so that he could take a proper look at the caller ID. He double–confirmed that he was indeed speaking to Logan as he wondered why he had never once heard any news about Logan getting married.

As if reading Stuart’s mind, Logan explained, “Relax, Stuart. You’re speaking to the real deal. If you have any questions about my wife, you can ask my grandmother about it.”

Stuart hurriedly replied, “I get it, sir. I get it now. Mr. Moore, please give me Mrs. Moore’s phone number, and I’ll speak to the fruit merchants and tell them to contact Mrs. Moore directly.”

Although Stuart did not know when Logan had gotten married, he knew that Logan would not make a joke about something as serious as his marriage.

He realized that Mrs. Moore had to be real.

But Stuart could not understand why Logan’s wife would be an orchardist.

“Okay,” replied Logan.

He then gave Lorraine’s contact number to Stuart and continued, “My wife doesn’t know anything about who I really am. So make sure to tell the fruit merchants to absolutely never mention anything about me at all.”

“Of course, sir.”

Stuart was extremely curious after listening to Logan’s warning.

He could not help but wonder when Logan got married and why Logan was deliberately trying to keep his identity a secret from his wife.

Stuart reckoned that the marriage was being kept a secret since it was never made public.

Logan stopped worrying about Lorraine’s fruit sales after hanging up the call with Stuart and resumed his focus on his heavy workload.

Lorraine, on the other hand, had no idea that the problem plaguing her was easily solved by Logan with a single phone call.

She parked her car in the underground parking lot of a huge market and walked around the place to pitch her fruits to all the fruit merchants.

Even if these smaller merchants could not sell her fruits in large volumes, any sales were still better than none.

Lorraine’s door–to–door sales approach was mostly rejected as most of the fruit merchants already had fixed suppliers. Some, however, had inquired about her contact number so that they could visit her orchards at a later date to verify some of her claims.

Her legs were tired after walking around for the entire day, but she yielded abysmal results.

As Lorraine walked out of another fruit stall, she stood by the roadside and watched as the cars sped past her. She wiped the sweat from her forehead as she cursed out at the person targeting her in her mind.

She felt that it was too ruthless to be cutting off her stream of revenue during such a crucial period of time. It was as if they had wanted her dead.

Going around to pitch sales for her fruits on such a hot day was extremely exhausting. Lorraine pulled out her phone to check the time and saw that it was already noon. She had agreed to bring Logan back to his place to make lunch together.

Lorraine planned to buy some groceries at the market she was already at. And since it was just a meal for Logan and herself, she decided that a simpler meal would suffice.

She slipped her phone back into her pocket and adjusted her glasses before turning to leave.

A luxury car passing by caught her eye for a brief moment. She then waited for the traffic to clear up before crossing the street. Suddenly, a loud screech could be heard across the road.
