The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 1826

Chapter 1826

Even Ms. Quill could see the swarms of brocade mites crawling all over Azar's body.

Her face turned pale, and she would have pathetically collapsed on the floor if one of her sentinels had not caught her in time. "So? Weren't you saying something about me tricking children?"

Frank turned to flash a gleeful smile at Ms. Quill, who clasped her hand over her mouth, unable to speak.

Still, feeling that this was not enough, he picked up a machete off the floor and raised it into the air.

Then, as Titus looked on in shock and as Ms. Quill watched in terror, he sliced through the wrist of Azar's outstretched knuckle.

Blood ejected violently, and soon, an entire colony of white brocade mites came scuttering off the stump, dropping all over the floor. "Argh!!!"

Ms. Quill's scream resounded even through her fingers.

It was such a harrowing sight and certainly not something a young woman raised in an ivory tower like herself could accept.

In fact, even Titus was glowering in the distance, cursing under his breath as he came to a realization. "That prick! He set me up!"

And with that, he turned and fled without so much as a glance behind.

The Clear Winds Pavilion apprentices were all pale when they saw their chief's body reduced to a mite colony.

None of them dared to touch him now-in fact, they all turned to flee at the same time Titus did.

And with them gone, it was just Frank, Ms. Quill, and her two elderly sentries left in Mobius' room.

Both sentries were scowling just then, as they were no fools-they had been fighting Titus' men for a long while, and Azar even joined the fray.

In all likelihood, those creepy

parasites were now growing inside their bodies, and they might even fall dead like Azar did the very next instant!

"Bleurgh..."

Ms. Quill eventually broke and started puking on the spot.

She appeared drained when she was finally done and looked up earnestly at Frank. "Are those things... inside me...?"

"I warned you."

Frank shook his head in

disappointment. "But you had to mock me instead of trusting me. Now, I dare say that all three of you aren't doing any better than Azar here the mites will hatch in days, and you'll end up as a mite colony just like him."

"No... No!!!"

Ms. Quill was genuinely terrified, dropping to her knees and clawing her hair as she suffered from a mental breakdown.

Still, it would probably push anyone over the edge, let alone a pampered heiress like Ms. Quill, if they were to

find out that they were infexre to

by a

colony of insects.

Even as she tore her own hair, her pupils dilating and unfocused, her sentries took her away.

For them, time—and survival was of the essence.

They had to rush Ms. Quill home now and call for the best doctors across Bralog to save her.

Otherwise, she would lose her mind even before the brocade mites ate her from the inside out.

Nheless, after Ms. Quill and her sentries were gone, someone started clapping in Mobius' room.

Click.

A bookshelf then slowly shifted as a mechanism activated, and a man in a suit emerged from the hidden room behind it.
