Chapter 261
"Get us 'Till Death Do Us Part'."
"Alright." The waiter left.
Charles' order surprised Naomi, but her expression fell normal quickly.
'Till Death Do Us Part' was the signature dish of the restaurant. She knew the meaning behind the dish. She also knew why Charles took her to the restaurant, which was why she did not order the dish.
She was not refusing him, nor was she superstitious. It was just that everything was far too early to be discussed. She could not accept Charles that quickly, even if she found him to be a great guy and that they were most likely very compatible.
It was just too early.
She had just divorced Scott three months ago. She could not possibly fall for another guy in three months. Impossible.
Charles, of course, noticed Naomi's changing expression and smiled. She did not gesture to stop him, so that must have meant...
Charles picked up his teacup and took a sip. He wanted to confess his feelings to Naomi that day, but since Olivia was behind Naomi, he could not say it.
Going by Sean's words, Olivia was manipulative, rough, and ruthless. It was best not to mess with her.
Anyone targeted by her would end up terribly.
Charles' heart ached whenever he thought back to that night of Naomi on the floor in pain. He could not let Olivia hurt Naomi anymore.
Olivia was pretending to look at the menu when, in fact, she was listening to Charles and Naomi's conversation behind her.
She had to know what they were doing in Herland, what their relationship was, and how it was progressing.
The more she knew, the better it would be for her.
Connor looked at Olivia. He knew what she was thinking. He said nothing, letting her be. As long as she was not hurting anybody or doing anything that crossed the line, he would not stop her.
The waiter stood there waiting for Olivia to order. He waited for a long time, yet Olivia still had not ordered a dish.
The waiter looked at Connor before
looking at Olivia and said with a
smile, "You two don't seem like you're locals. Perhaps this is your first time in Herland and our restaurant." sŵnovel.net
Olivia replied, "Not the first time in Herland but in your restaurant."
"Hehe! Then, I'm sure you don't know our signature dish, right?"
Olivia raised an eyebrow. "Oh? A signature dish?" She closed the menu and
looking at the waiter. "What are your signature dishes?"
kin put it on the table before
"Alright. Our most famous one is also the name of our restaurant, 'Till Death Do Us Part'."
"Till Death Do Us Part..." Olivia repeated.
"This dish has an extremely romantic backstory to it."
Olivia's eyes twinkled at this, feeling even better. She leaned back, feeling relaxed, and said, "Tell me about it."
"Alright." The waiter soon recounted the story that Dylan told Naomi and the others to Olivia. Connor sipped his tea from time to time, listening on. He did not seem surprised at all as if it was not his first time listening to the story.
He seemed to have known about it.
Olivia finished listening to the story and looked at Connor. She said with a smile, "So you came with a plan."
Connor smiled. He did not feel uneasy even when Olivia pointed out what he was doing. He looked at her openly and replied with a smile. "Of course."
