Chapter 1505 Darren's Aunt
Chapter 1505 Darren's Aunt
Darren also noticed the man lying on the ice bed. Although he was asleep, the aura he gave off
overwhelmed Darren.
"What a menacing aura! I wonder, what was his cultivation level before? Could he have been one of
the Chu Clan's deputy gods?" Darren murmured.
"Maybe. We have to get close and take a look. Your divine weapon of the Chu Clan and blood essence
will be able to verify that," the Rule Soul Avatar said.
As a direct descendant of the Chu Clan, Darren was the Territory Enfeoffing Emperor of the clan.
Activating his bloodline and emperor aura would help him figure out whether that person was a
member of the clan as well.
"Okay."
Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar hid in the space, slowly creeping towards the ice bed.
Bang!
Suddenly, a powerful pressure crushed the Rule Soul Avatar who was ahead of Darren.
The avatar exploded into a mist of blood.
"Xavier!" Darren was shocked, making him take a quick step back.
Only then did he realize there was an extremely strong force within ten feet of the ice bed, guarding it.
Whoever got close enough would get crushed, just like the Rule Soul Avatar.
Fortunately, the Rule Soul Avatar was strong enough to trigger the Resurrection Force and the Time
Backflow Law at the time of the explosion.
A moment later, he had gotten his body back and then returned to Darren.
The commotion alerted the crazy woman.
She screamed in reaction.
Focusing her god's sense, she blocked the stone chamber, immediately detecting the presence of
Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar.
Boom!
Using her palm, the woman directly struck where Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar were standing. The
space shattered, and they both toppled to the ground.
"Sorry for the intrusion, but we mean you no harm,"
Darren said steadily, even though she was in a crazed state of consciousness.
The woman snarled like a rabid wolf, her eyes dark and full of hostility.
Even as she guarded against them, she still held the baby tightly in her arms, fearing that he would be
hurt. Just like any mother, even when crazed, they would protect their children fiercely.
Not removing her eyes from the two intruders, the woman moved to the ice bed. She lowered her head,
and a trace of tenderness flashed through her dark eyes. With one last look at the baby, she slowly laid
him down on the bed. When she raised her head, her eyes shone with a ferocious beast-like glow.
Whoosh!
She swiftly moved over to Darren and grabbed at him.
The Rule Soul Avatar blocked the woman's attack just as Darren started to dodge.
"My real body, use your divine weapon."
"Okay!"
While dodging, Darren activated the emperor power. Then he took out the rusty divine sword, making it
float in front of him.
"Ah!"
As soon as the woman started her attack, she stopped. Instead, she raised her head and shrieked. The
sharp noise made Darren's ears bleed.
"This sound is horrible."
Darren gathered his god's power in an attempt to drive the sound waves out of his body.
The divine weapon worked. As irritated as the woman looked, she couldn't risk attacking Darren again.
Fifteen minutes later, the baby on the ice bed started to cry. The woman snapped out of it. Her gaunt
face suddenly gentling as she looked at the baby lovingly.
She hurried to the bed and cradled the baby in her arms, rocking him softly.
"My real body, send your blood essence to that man," the Rule Soul Avatar said.
Without hesitation, Darren cut his finger on a wisp of sword intent. Flicking his finger, a drop of blood
essence flew over to the man on the bed.
The mysterious power around the ice bed didn't block the drop of blood essence, and it fell straight
onto the man's chest.
"No response?"
After some observation, Darren could find no sign of resonance. So he released the Territory Enfeoffing
Emperor aura.
The result was the same, no resonance.
"Well, it appears he is not a member of my clan." Darren sighed.
The abyss was huge. Naturally, people from other clans would have entered it as well. The man could
have been a cultivator exiled to the abyss.
"Xavier, let's go. We shouldn't disturb this family anymore."
But the Rule Soul Avatar didn't move. His attention fixated on the woman.
Using his Spirit Power, he had sensed an unusual fluctuation from her.
When Darren had dripped out his blood essence, the Rule Soul Avatar felt that woman's temperature
rise. It was unusually high.
It didn't take much to reach the conclusion that the woman's bloodline traced back to the Chu Clan.
The Rule Soul Avatar shared his thoughts with Darren.
That was something Darren hadn't expected. "Since you're more observant, I'll trust you and give it
another try," he said.
It was his own fault to assume only the men from the Chu Clan's ancestors could have been powerful
warriors. He couldn't have been more wrong.
Supreme God Braxton was also powerful. Few people also knew she was an extremely beautiful
woman.
While the woman was busy coaxing the child to sleep, a wisp of Darren's blood essence crept quietly
towards her.
The drop fell on her neck as Darren transmitted his Territory Enfeoffing Emperor aura through his divine
weapon.
Whoosh!
A burst of blood light erupted from the woman's body, causing a buzz in Darren's divine sword.
"Yes! The blood has resonated with her!" It overjoyed Darren to know this woman was indeed one of
the Chu Clan's elders.
Fortunately, he had the Rule Soul Avatar around to knock some sense into him or he would have
missed her.
The woman's blood was boiling, making her body tremble.
Whoosh!
The weapon floating in front of Darren released a bright light, rushing straight into the woman's head.
The woman's body stiffened.
Darren and the Rule Soul Avatar waited anxiously to see what would happen next.
Seconds later, the woman moved. She turned around and stared blankly at the two of them.
"Ma'am?" Darren called out tentatively.
To his surprise,
a river of tears ran down her gaunt face.
"Aldous, my cousin,"
she sobbed, her lips trembling. With a sudden move, she pounced on Darren and held him in a vice
grip.
"Aldous, is that you?" she asked, choking on her sobs.
The woman kept murmuring incoherently with tears flowing down her face. Darren could make out
some things about the hardships she had had to endure throughout the years.
When she finally calmed down, Darren slowly helped her up and said, "Ma'am, I'm not your cousin. My
name is Darren Chu. I'm a direct descendant of the Chu Clan and the current patriarch."
His words stunned the woman, releasing a fresh wave of tears.
"Darren Chu..." she repeated thoughtfully as if trying to recall something she'd forgotten.
As far as she knew, the Chu Clan didn't have any descendant called Darren.
"Oh, my real name is Xavier Chu," Darren added.
"Xavier, you are Xavier? No wonder you look so much like my cousin. Boy, I'm your aunt." The woman
cried again.
