My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1654

Carmen's tone made it clear-she was only holding back from making a bigger fuss because she knew Elvira.

She was doing Elvira and her aunt a favor by not escalating things further. Otherwise, there was no way Skylar would have walked out so easily just

now.

Carmen had already mapped out her strategy to escalate this situation dramatically. She could even use this to generate some publicity for herself. With a scandal like this, she could attract attention, build momentum, and maybe make a fortune this year.

Elvira frowned deeply at her statement. "This has nothing to do with who knows me. This issue, while it involves children, is a matter of right and wrong. If you, as a parent, cannot recognize the problem, then I'm afraid our kindergarten can no longer accommodate Nadia," Elvira said firmly. Carmen looked shocked, her disbelief evident. "Mrs. Rehbein, what are you saying? Are you asking Nadia to leave? We didn't do anything wrong. Why should we be the ones leaving?"

"Let's stop pretending Nadia did nothing wrong, Mrs. Becker. You know the situation well. This isn't the first time Nadia has taken something from another child. Other parents have already come to us several times about this issue. On top of that, she often initiates fights with other kids.

"If you don't see that as wrong, then what do you consider wrong?" Elvira's tone remained professional, but the strain of her patience was evident.

If it were any other parents or someone whose child had been bullied by Nadia, they might not have stayed as composed as Skylar. Many would have been eager to confront Carmen in an explosive argument.

Carmen snapped back, unable to sit still any longer. "I don't think Nadia is at fault at all. Those parents are too petty! They should be teaching their kids to be kind and share.noveldrama

"Why can't they just give Nadia what she wants? They're isolating her on purpose. If she took their things, it's because they deserved it. And if she hit them, well, maybe they needed to be taught a lesson."

Elvira's temples throbbed with frustration. In over two decades of working in education, she had never encountered a parent so utterly unreasonable. "It seems there's no point in continuing this conversation. Nadia doesn't need to come to the kindergarten tomorrow. Also, there's something I hadn't planned on saying, but out of respect for your aunt, I'll mention it. You've said you want to escalate the situation and make a scene. If you do, the kindergarten won't be affected, and neither will Mrs. Martin. The only person who will face any consequences is you," Elvira said.

The warning in Elvira's voice was unmistakable. Anyone with the slightest bit of awareness would have heeded it.

But Carmen, stubborn as ever, clearly didn't grasp the gravity of Elvira's words. She failed to realize just how unwise it would be to provoke someone like Skylar.

"Only I'll be affected? Mrs. Rehbein, don't you think you're underestimating me? I won't let this go so easily. Just wait-I'll make Mrs. Martin apologize to me."

With that, she slammed the door on her way out.

Elvira shook her head as the sound of the door slamming echoed. "Apologize? What a ridiculous fantasy. How can there be such

stark difference between Ret

Mrs, Martin is such an

accomplished person, yet she's always kind to others and never flaunts anything. It's truly..."

She let out a weary sigh, the situation weighing heavily on her.

By the time Skylar arrived home, it was 20 minutes after Vivian had already returned.

Skylar had been caught in the chaos of rush hour traffic on her way back from the kindergarten. Roads were packed with cars, and sidewalks- teemed with people. But when she walked through the door, she was greeted by a heartwarming sight.

Joe was sitting on the living room floor with Vivian, the two engrossed in a game together.

Vivian had always been a bright and cheerful child. Any unhappiness she experienced seemed to vanish in the blink of an eye. It was clear she had already forgotten the argument at kindergarten.

"Mom's home!" Vivian called out sweetly the moment she spotted her.

Joe looked over as well, their gazes meeting briefly.

Skylar swept Vivian up into a warm hug. "Guess what, Vivian? On my way home, your Uncle Harvey called. He said he wanted to take you to the amusement park. Would you like to go?"

Harvey adored Vivian and took every opportunity to spend time with her. Whenever Skylar and Joe were tied up with work, Vivian always looked forward to being with Harvey.
