Chapter 1651
Melanie finally realized the situation. Concerned about the potential impact, she quickly said to Skylar and Carmen, "Mrs. Becker, Mrs. Martin, let's go inside and talk."noveldrama
After they entered the classroom, they saw the assistant teacher, Wren Webb, and the daycare teacher, Ulva Cox, trying to calm down Vivian and Nadia.
While they were comforting them, Vivian was holding a picture book and looking through it. Though she appeared calm, it was clear that she had been crying earlier.
Her face was flushed, and she sat there looking like a little bundle. Skylar's heart tightened. She knew her daughter all too well.
As for Nadia, when Wren handed her a toy, she immediately threw it aside, visibly annoyed. She kept repeating, "When is Mom coming to pick me up?""
Carmen walked over and said, "Nadia, I'm here!"
At the sound of Carmen's voice, Nadia broke into loud sobs. "Mom!"
Hearing Nadia cry uncontrollably, Vivian let out a deep breath and shook her head. It was hard to believe that Nadia was still crying at this age. Vivian put down her picture book and looked toward her approaching mother. "Mom, I didn't do anything wrong today."
Skylar gently patted Vivian's head. "Tell me about it."
When they were walking toward the classroom, Melanie briefly explained the situation. Several children were playing together, and for some reason, Vivian and Nadia had ended up fighting. Nadia had been crying ever since.
Since it was already almost time for school to end, Melanie hadn't had the chance to figure out what happened. But it was common for kids to have small conflicts while playing together.
However, since Nadia had been crying so much, they decided to keep both children behind for a while.
"Today I brought some stickers, and while I was playing with the other kids, Nadia didn't even ask me. She just grabbed my stickers and
wouldn't give them back. When
asked for them, she pushed me, so I took them back from her. Then she tried to hit me, so I hit her back," Vivian explained the whole situation clearly.
She liked all the kids in her class except for Nadia. She was like a spoiled puppy, peeing and pooping everywhere. Skylar understood what had happened and turned to Melanie.
Melanie had just gotten the full story from Wren and Ulva. Before she could speak, Carmen started causing a scene.
Nadia seemed to think crying would solve everything. She didn't speak but clung to Carmen, crying loudly. Upon hearing Carmen defending her and praising her, Nadia immediately shot Vivian a smug look.
Her mother was so powerful, always protecting her no matter what she did.
This expression didn't escape Skylar's attention.
Skylar furrowed her brow, though subtly. She had always thought children of such a young age were innocent and adorable. They were like unique little angels. She never expected to see malice in such young children.
