Love At The Wrong Table

Love at the 1968

Chapter 1968

With just a few swift moves, Shane knocked all of Owen’s bodyguards to the

ground.

The onlookers gasped in astonishment, murmuring among themselves. It

had been a long time since anyone in Eldoria had dared to stand up to the

Quill family, and seeing them face resistance was shocking.

“You’re next, come on!” Shane taunted, beckoning to Owen with a mocking

wave of his hand. Owen, to the crowd’s surprise, broke into a cold sweat and

began to back away.

For those who had suffered under the Quill family’s bullying for years, seeing

Owen like this was nothing short of miraculous. Even Sonia, who had grown

up in a powerful family herself, was impressed. No one in her family had ever

managed to make Owen retreat like this–Shane had given her a reason to

feel proud.

“You… Just you wait!” Owen stammered, continuing to backpedal.

At that moment, one of the theater’s staff members approached. Leading

them was a woman drossod in striking red, who gave Shane a sense of

familiarity, though he couldn’t quite place where he’d seen her before.

“You work for the Magnolia Theater, right? I’m Owen Quill of the Quill family!

This fool dared to attack us, so you better teach him a lesson!” Owen

demanded, barking orders at the red–clad woman as though he owned the

place.

In Eldoria, Owen was used to getting his way. The moment he revealed his

identity, people typically bowed to him. But this time, things didn’t go as

planned. Without warning, the woman in red slapped him hard across the

face, sending blood flying from his mouth.

“Shut up! You’re cutting in line, and you think you can get away with it? At

Maestro Moretti’s show, the only ones with privileges are those personally

chosen by the maestro herself–not you, you dog!” the red–clad woman spat,

her disdain clear as she pointed a finger at Owen.

“You… what did you just say?” Owen stammered, his face turning red with

anget.

” said it in Changeant Before Owen could react further, the woman slapped

him again, knocking him to the ground, her boldness leaving the crowd

speechless.

Both Shane and Sonia were stunned by the woman’s audacity. They hadn’t

expected anyone to be so bold, let alone someone who seemned to work for

the theater. Once he snapped back to reality, Shane turned to the VIP window

staff and said, “We’d like to book one of the front–row VIP suites!”

Shane had done his research with Sonia. The Magnolia Theater had two

exclusive VIP suites right at the front of the venue, offering the best view

without the disruption of other audience members. He was excited about the

idea of sitting with Sonia, enjoying fruits and tea, and watching the

performance together.

However, the staff member shook their head. “Sorry, Maestro Moretti has

already reserved the front–row VIP suites herself. No one else can book

them.”

“What?” Shane said, clearly disappointed.

Owen, hearing this, began to laugh arrogantly once more. “You fool! In Eldoria,

even when Maestro Moretti performs, the top VIP seats belong to the Quill

family! Do you really think she’d refuse us?”

The woman in red laughed coldly. “Sorry, but the Quill family doesn’t have

that kind of privilege.”

“What?!” Owen’s laughter died instantly, replaced by a look of humiliation as

he realized he’d been publicly embarrassed.

Shane, seizing the moment, sneered, “Looks like you’re not as important as

you think you are. Just another overgrown brat acting tough.”

“You son of a-” Owen, his pride shattered, was about to lash out at Shane

again when a commanding voice cut through the air. “Owen, enough!”

Everyone turned to see Xander Quill, Owen’s uncle, arriving with a group of

people.

Uncle Xander, you’re just in time! These idiots have no respect for the Quill

family–they’re treating us like trash!” Owen complained.

Smack!

Before Owen could finish his sentence, Xander slapped him hard across the

face.

Owen stood there, stunned, clutching his stinging cheek. He couldn’t believe

what had just happened. His uncle had never hit him like that.

“I told you to shut up. Do you think this is a place where you can cause

trouble?” Xander scolded.

The crowd fell into a stunned silence. Sonia, in particular, was shocked. She

knew Xander well–he was even more arrogant and ruthless than Owen. For

him to suddenly act so respectful, something unusual was happening.

Ignoring the bewildered looks from the crowd, Xander bowed slightly to the

woman in red and asked, “Are you Maestro Moretti’s disciple?”
