Chapter 1967

What a rare opportunity! I’d love to witness Maestro Moretti’s performance

myself,” Gwain said, his eyes lighting up with excitement.

“Shall we go then, Mr. Gwain? I’ve always wanted to see Maestro Moretti in

person, too. Who knows? Maybe seeing such a performance will spark my

memory,” Roselynn added with genuine enthusiasm. She truly admired

Isabella, not just because of the artist’s fame but also because of what she

had heard from Santiago.

Being older than Shane, Roselynn knew more about the old man’s past. Years

ago, she had overheard rumors that Santiago had some connection with

Isabella, but the details were always vague. One thing she did know was that

many of the songs Santiago hummed in Peach Blossom House were

originally sung by Maestro Moretti. Today’s performance was a rare chance,

and she wasn’t going to miss it. Plus, the crowded venue might offer her the

perfect opportunity to escape from these three or contact her brother for

help.

“Alright let’s go (wain agreed. He didn’t fully trust Roselynn, but he had

complete confidence in his own abilities if she tried anything suspicious, he

Gould easily knock her out and take her away. Plus, Gwain knew something

about Isabella’s hidden identity, which made him even more eager to attend.

Meanwhile, Shane and Sonia had arrived at the Magnolia Theater, where the

performance was being held. To Shane’s surprise, the crowd was far larger

than he had imagined, with lines stretching endlessly in front of the ticket

booths.

“Miss Toma, what should we do now?” Shane asked, feeling a bit

disheartened. By this point, there was no way they’d be able to buy tickets in

time–the performance was about to start.

Sonia gave him a smug smile. “Did you really think we’d be waiting in line? I

booked our tickets online ages ago. We just need to pick them up at the VIP

window.

“Really? You’re amazing, Miss Toma!” Shane was overjoyed. Having such a

considerate future wife sounded like a dream come true. He couldn’t help but

think back to how he and Frederick had bent over backward for Beatrix. When

had Beatrix ever been this thoughtful?

“I’ll go get the tickets!” Shane jumped at the chance to be chivalrous, hurrying

to the VIP window.

The VIP line was short since only Eldoria’s most influential people had access

to these exclusive tickets. As one of the city’s three most powerful families,

the Toma family naturally had a spot.

People in line quickly recognized Sonia, stepping aside respectfully. After all,

she was the daughter of the Toma family. Just as they were about to collect

their tickets, a loud, arrogant voice came from behind them. “Make way!

Platinum VIP coming through!”

Everyone turned to see Owen Quill approaching with a group of lackeys. His

entourage was just as obnoxious as he was, demanding attention with their

grand display.

“Mr. Quill is here to support Maestro Moretti. You better clear out and give him

the best seats!” one of his lackeys shouted, laughing as the crowd quickly

dispersed.

The citizens of Eldoria feared the Quill family, especially Owen, whose

aggressive personality and tendency to bully people made him notorious.

Even Sonia stepped aside, not wanting to cause trouble. But Shane stood his

ground.

“Move aside, fatso! Don’t you see you’re wasting Mr. Quill’s time?” one of

Owen’s lackeys barked as he tried to shove Shane.

To everyone’s shock, Shane easily pushed the lackey back, sending him

tumbling to the ground. The crowd gasped, stunned by Shane’s boldness.

“Well, well, who would’ve thought there’s someone in Eldoria brave enough to

stand up to the Quill family?” Owen sneered, his mouth curling into a smug

grin.

“And I never thought I’d see such an arrogant dog shamelessly cutting in line,

Shane shot back, not intimidated in the slightest. He knew this was his

chance to impress Sonia, and he wasn’t going to let it slip away.

Sonia was impressed by Shane’s bravery but also worried. She wasn’t sure if

he could handle the situation.

“Get him!” Owen ordered, and his lackeys rushed forward to attack

any real martial prowess, and neither did his lackeys.
